On the firing line
Saw Transformers yesterday with my 4 year old. The movie was great, my kid...not so much, but I kind of expected that.

Anyhow, like a lot of people I was amped as hell to see this movie. I remember having all the toys when I was a kid, and watching the cartoon. Kind of nice to see Optimus Prime got upgraded from a cabover to a longnose Peterbilt with 10 inch straight pipes. *Tim Allen-esque grunting*

The commercials made it look awesome, but for once, they were just teasers (like they're supposed to be). There was WAY more action than they could cram into the commercials. Really, the teasers / trailers couldn't do the movie justice!

I'm actually going to spend another $8 or so to go back to the theater and see it again (without the kid this time).

Here's a fan made trailer that kicks ass (best teaser I've seen):

Ya I managed to get to the theater on opening day. What an amazing fuckin movie. Sure it had its cheesy parts, cliche moments, and a really hot chick with below average acting ability (shes still hot so who cares?).

But overall it was amazing, and bumblebee wasn't a bitch in the movie either.

Ya...awesome movie.

I loved it too. I agree that it was even better than what the trailers portrayed. Way more action than I was expecting. Can't wait to go see it again!

i really didnt want to see this at first, but everyone seems to thinks its pretty awsome

I liked it a lot! Granted as others said, there were some cliché and cheesy parts.

It was very cool to see that the guy that did the original Optimus voice for the animated series did it for the movie.

I must have been feeling real nostalgic that night , because right after the movie I went to Target, and bought the 20th anniversary edition Transformers -The Movie. Now that movie leaves much to be desired, especially the music...
