I apologize for bumping an old and rather boring topic, but since I can't reply to my old thread, there's really no other way. I realize I might get flamed for bringing this up again, but you guys seem to like drama so it's worth a shot I think :xmas-smiley-016:

Still haven't been paid, and I'm still being ignored. He went underground when I was on his ass the most (around December/January if I'm not totally mistaken) but he's apparently back again. Details: Did some slicing work for him, nothing fancy really. He paid for half of the stuff after a while. He hasn't complained about the quality or anything like that, he simply stated something along the line that he couldn't access his paypal account and that he had no money, etc. In his most recent thread rileypool brought my original thread up, to which TylerL answered:

Anyhow, since you'll most likely read this TylerL, why not share your story here?

P.s. We're not talking about a lot of money here, but I actually spent quite some time doing the work for him when I was in need of money.

Here, I'll let you know what happened:

The LP's you sliced and coded were for a landing page resale business myself and 2 other people were working on. To save time, we planned to pay a coder to put the landing pages together so we could launch by our planned launch date. The funds for this were supposed to come out of a shared "business" Paypal account, but I didn't have access to it at the time so I decided to pay you out of my pocket while I waited for access. The project fell through a little while later and since the person funding the whole thing (one of my partners) had access to the account, I couldn't pay you the other 50%. Now, I doubt that partner would even acknowledge that this happened and he wouldn't pay.

Obviously if I had money to pay you I would just do it out of my own pocket and be done with this, but I'm not doing so hot right now, and I find myself having to choose between paying you and paying my rent. The second I have $125-150 to spare it's yours, I just have no idea when that will be.
 
^ Very much a douche move not paying for rendered satisfactory work.

BUT very nice that you are just upfront admitting you fucked up and will pay asap. At least that say's something about your character... Just don't fuck with Karma.
 
I can't believe you don't have $125 to spare. If you just got your business game proper you'd be rolling in it as you're definately one of the better designers I've come across.
 
Pic up some odd jobs on CL and get this man his money. Glad you're being honest...but if you REALLY wanted to pay him back you would just make it happen. No if, ands, or buts.
 
Over a year ago I hired TylerL to design something. The spec was very clear and outlined what graphics needed to be included.

I got the design back without the required graphics. I explained this and asked for the graphics, and was ignored.

I asked for a refund, and was also ignored.

So not only does Tyler not pay those he hires, he doesn't deliver to those that hire him either.

And Tyler, how the fuck do you not have enough to pay your rent? You obviously have great design skills - 100 people here would hire you at $100 a page - if you'd just keep your promises and deliver you might have some clients. A few hours of work for you would pay this guy back, but you don't seem to want to do that, because you're a total dipshit.

In summary, fuck you.

You must be one lazy motherfucker to have your skills and no cash.

:P Well least the OP didn't do what I did when I was getting impatient waiting for 50$ from Tyler. (some of you remember that pathetic thread of mine)

Now I'm not one to talk but I'll say this much, Tyler is an excellent designer, I have seen very few people least on WF to surpass his own quality of work, especially on the PSD files I've coded/sliced for him, great organizational skills and good speed.

However when I spend 3 weeks answering instant messages from several of his clients coming to me cuz they I know I [used to] code up most of his work especially for MonsterLP wondering where he's at, and then to have this happen in spurts every other month, it makes it very hard for me to refer him as a designer when clients ask me if I know any good designers, cuz I don't want to refer then a week later have them come back at me going "Hey have you seen Tyler, I need to get that design back from him, been over a week". So yea mad skillz, but past experience in availability has been sporadic at best. And seemed like he just disappeared from designing all together when started "Ballin" on PPC campaigns.

Pure Speculation, but I'm thinking once he gets what he needs money-wise in his hands, you might find the remaining workload getting stalled quite a bit.

Anyhow, that's bullshit and you know it. I finished the stuff for you almost a year ago, and you're telling me you've been broke all this time? You're good at what you do, it would take you 1 or 2 LP designs at most to pay me back.. You haven't been able to pull through 1 or 2 LP designs in 10-11 months to pay me back? Pathetic man, just pathetic.
