Brock Lesnar vs. Alistair Overeem
Nate Diaz vs. Donald Cerrone
Jon Fitch vs. Johny Hendricks
Vladimir Matyushenko vs. Alexander Gustafsson

Who are you all picking? I have:

Lesnar (it's hard to pick this fight: I don't like him but think he may win)
Cerrone
Fitch
Gustafsson

I used to be an Overeem fan when he was lean and throwing knees. Now he's huge and slower, even the American diet got to him.

Lesnar

Don't care about any other fights.

United Fruit Competitions is nothing about hand skills or real man fighting, it's a crotch and anus fest of submissions. Great for Gimps and perverts who are into S&M and homoerotic displays, reminds one of Roman orgies...

^ Only really closeted gays or dudes with homo tendancies think of the UFC as gay. Probably the type to end up with gay children too.

Nothing gay about being able to choke somebody to sleep, break bones with leverage, and throw bones at another human with the intention of causing as much damage as possible.

Here is Ubereem post horse meat throwing some knees. Basically all he does this fight. I think if he gets Lesnar with even ONE, Lesnar is in for a rough fucking time.

For people saying that Overeem is a blown up LHW, that's probably true, but I think he's a true heavyweight now. Probably 10-15lbs overweight, but still a legit HW.

Randy Couture was also a LHW in which Lesnar had hell with taking down. That fight was pretty close until the final punch that dropped Randy.

Picks are:

REEM, Diaz, Fitch, Gustafsson, Phan, Pearson, Castillo, Stun Gun, Volkmann, Ramos, Gamburyan

^ I was surprised how competitive Lesnar/Couture was considering the age and size difference, I thought Lesnar should have been able to dominate Randy quite easily - but the Reem doesn't have anywhere near the level of wrestling that Randy had. Also, I am not a fan of Lesnar but I actually think he has a decent chin, he just reacts badly to getting hit in the face.

For me the biggest factors are:

Reem: very good striking, dangerous knees but may gas and bodybuilder physique = musclebound = less speed
Lesnar: very fast/explosive/strong but has had the stomach surgery, hasn't fought in a while and doesn't handle hits to the face well - although I think he has a good chin.

It really can go either way, but I still give the edge to Lesnar.

Had 4.50 left on my Bodog account from old poker days, decided to try bet on some miracle parlays.

I bet on Manny Gamburyan all 3 bets, he's the first fight, so if he loses my betting night is over hahaha. Will be funny if I hit any of them. Nunes is a tough guy, but I've witnessed Gamburyan man handle 155ers and was #2 until Jose Aldo & Tyson Griffin took him out. I still think he's top 5ish in FW and he's at +215.

I just may stop watching MMA (been following since the first few UFCs I had to rent on VHS) if Lesnar beats Overeem.

Sorry...just refuse to believe it will happen short of something ridiculous happening to Overeem. His chin has not been tested IMO. Shane Carwin is easily one of the most powerful strikers...but I don't think he got off his best on Lesnar/gassed himself WAY early.

Everytime I see Lesnar take a decent shot he literally starts scrambling and often drops to his knees...he does that one time in this fight it is OVER. Carwin should NOT have lost that fight...BUT HE LOST THE FIGHT...LESNAR didn't really step up like people claim he did IMO...Carwin's problem is gassing, which makes sense as one of the heaviest hitters globally in the sport. If he hadn't thrown everything at the end of the first he could have avoided that choke.

This card has some great "undercards" too. Cerrone has been looking beastly, I look for him to come out on top of Nick...maybe by decision. Stungun beats Pearson I'd imagine...dude is gonna be a star real soon. The janitor Matyushenko really needs a big win to stay in the LHW spotlight too...if not he's being completely edged out for the next year or so...and I don't see Jones losing for a few years at this point if he stays healthy.

I like Lesnar but honestly Overeem is the meanest dude on the block , im thinking its his fight to lose

The Diaz brothers are a wild pair of retarded niggers and Lesnar is a big fucking pussy who crumbles to a huge pile of soft ass snow flakes soon as someone hits him in the face. Overeem and Donald better spank that ass.

I'm actually gonna be in Vegas on Friday, was thinking about going.

So I guess we're time travelling now?

You sir are an idiot.

Fuck yes Reem.

I was right about Lesnar, taking even one of those knees would be fucking trouble. He actually went with the same gameplan that he had in the Tony Sylvester fight I posted above.

Knees and kicks to the body was probably the right game plan to the guy who's suffered from life threatening diverticulitis.

Brock Lesnar just retired too, man. Oh well. Pretty good run I guess.

It's a shame whats happened to brock over the past few years. He wasn't the best fighter in the world, but he had a lot of potential to improve and dominate. It sucks to see him go out so early, but when you have problems like he's got you really don't have a choice.
