UFC 151 Cancelled + Jon Jones didn't accept a fight

Fuck Jon Jones
- He's had a FULL training camp. Sonnen's coming off an ass beating, and only has 8 days to train. On top of that Sonnen is a MIDDLEWEIGHT. He's an INFERIOR version of Rashad Evans, who Jones has already beat. How much of a fucking advantage does Jones have?
- He's hurting the wallets of a LOT of people. All those undercard fighters? They get their show money, but they don't get their sponsorship money. No one's walking away with a $70k fight of the night, submission of the night, knockout of the night bonus, etc.
- The Fans. How about all the fans that already bought plane tickets / hotels to see the show?
- I can't see Fedor, Wanderlei, BJ Penn, Liddell, etc. true legends of the sport turning down a fight like this.
- Fuck UFC as well for their over saturation of the market, which lead to shitty cards. The rest of the card sucks simple as that. That's why the can't put the co-main event as the main event. They don't stack cards anymore. This PPV was like a boxing PPV.
- Fuck Dan Henderson and his camp for not mentioning his injury sooner. He was injured 3 WEEKS ago

All the discussions/excuses for why he can't fight at HW just don't hold up in my opinion. The dude is 6'4 and certainly physically large enough to fight at that weight class, building up muscle etc. I'd be curious to know what weight he walks around at currently. The bottom line is MMA fans deserve to see the best fights available...and wouldn't those fights be available for Jones at HW?

Jon Jones has never missed a weight cut to LHW, as long as he makes the weight then he belongs at the weight class.
He walks around 225+ so yea he could fight at HW. However he'd get destroyed there since his reach / strength won't be as much of a factor. JDS, The Reem, Cain, Cormier, would have their way with him. I think even Frank Mir could go home of one of his legs.
He's staying at LHW because of $. He just signed an endorsement deal with nike and I'm pretty sure he's going to get some more. Who would they rather sponsor? The most dominant force at LHW ever, or a guy that won't even crack top 5 if he fights at HW?

^^^ Agreed...just sucks for fight fans that want to see the most competitive fights at any level when they are possible to do at this point, but won't happen for the reasons you stated.
I'd much rather see Jones fight the dudes you mentioned and others than the matchups we are likely to see for the next 3+ years at LHW. Sigh.....

Monopoly = they can do whatever the fuck they want and the fans can't say jack shit about it.
Jones is an ass for not taking the fight, but it was a smart decision, since despite what people will say, Sonnen is a danger to any fighter. He proved that in the first Silva fight. Jackson didn't want to take the chance of getting his fighter in the ring with a hungry Sonnen who was looking for redemption.
I think both Silva v Sonnen fights were a fluke in Silva's favor, and Sonnen's gonna prove that in time.
I read Chael started training for Jones 3 weeks ago. Might be the reason he called him out a couple weeks ago, knowing Hendo wasn't going to recover.
