I live in the UK and I love UK offers. Thats the background to the story.
Bit of a ramble here but some thoughts on offers which are targeting these markets. I've test non country specific and country specific and the differences in CR is significant (upwards of +15 - 20%) in some instances.
Anyway here is what I want in offers for these markets, but these points could and should also apply to other markets.
Strong country specific branding - think flags, think local media logos, think local testimonials.
Local currency billing - the single biggest issue. The number of comments I've had left on LPs from people who were put of by $ billing is insane. Question for merchants and advs - Is local currency billing a major pain in the ass? If its doable - do it. Moniez are being left on the table without local currency billing.
I know non country specific offers do well in most markets but if we are all about optimizing for profits this is a no brainer. I've seen 2 offers (acai / grants) do this well but still fall down on the details. US media logos with UK branding on all other elements.
I operate almost exclusively in markets outside of the US now. Traffic is cheaper and audiences are less scared / aware of the dreaded rebill.
Of course a solid LP which explains the non country specific branding works well but if its a seemless path to conversion we are looking for then these elements are key.
I've been speaking with a few of you on making the tweaks for UK specifc branding etc and its great to see some people (props Jason, A4D and Copeac) taking the suggestions on board for custom lps but it would be great to start seeing custom offer LPs as standard for country / market specific audiences.
Gets me thinking about demo specific customised offer lps too...
