when catastrophes happen it is easy to forget about the animals and they tend to be forgotten and left for dead.

sad but sweet video.

Wish I have a dog just like that. With that kind of loyalty, I can really tell that dog is a man's best friend. I mean even if its not a man they're beside at, even if its just another dog they're still intact and concern.

I speak some Japanese and roughly translated, they were discussing how to best prepare dog for consumption.

I have a Rottweiler, they act pretty much the same. Won't leave the house unless I go with her etc.

Rough translation of the man speaking:

Oh, there's a dog!

He's dirty, he must have been caught in the tsunami. He's completely soiled black.

He's wearing a collar so he's a domesticated dog.

He looks stunned and scared.

Oh, there's one more! Oh maybe it's dead.

There's a dog right next to him, right where he's sitting.

He's not moving. I wonder if he's dead.

He's protecting him.

Maybe he came over to us to say "Don't come any closer".

Man, I can't watch this.

Oh he's moving, he's moving!

He's alive, thankfully he's alive.

But he's really weak. So they want someone to help them fast.

He woke up, he woke up.

They survived this terrible earthquake unharmed. Clearly they survived this terrible earthquake and tsunami.

The caption at the end says "Vitality to survive The Great Earthquake".

Unfortunately for these dogs they are not a priority for anyone's rescue efforts.
