Ultra cheap ghetto host needed (just 1 wordpress site)

Need a super cheap host to throw up a test site for about 6 months.

Anyone functional, non-fly-by-night providers out there who will let me host for $1 a month or something for around 6 months or so?
 


Go check dynadot dot com. I think they are offering a $1/month web hosting.

I never used their web hosting service but for $1 you get 3GB of bandwidth and 30 MB of Storage.
 
000webhost is completely free last time I checked. I only used them for sites I didn't care about or as a launching platform though - and that was a while back. 1500 MB Diskspace and 100 GB per month BW is a huge overkill for what you want to do so if you wanna gamble on a free provider that owes you nothing if they fail (they never failed me back then though!) you can give them a try.

If you have a spare PC always on and connected to the net, maybe you could even set up a server at home. I think any IM should have one anyway just to test/backup/hot swap.
 
Flawed logic is flawed

Say your site takes off then what. You waste time scrambling trying to find another host.
