If I'm working with a ton of campaigns and grossing 75-100k per month, would you risk using either of these programs?

I do all my tracking 'by hand' and would love the time-saving benefits of using these programs - but I am too paranoid with how much money is at stake. Anyone have any advice or can suggest another solution?

Cheers.

I think everyone can vouch for 202 that they are one of the most trusted companies/networks in the affiliate marketing industry.

Prosper202 is great.

Get your own tracking programmed from someone you can trust...

make sure it incorporates things like the ability to get stats via SMS to your phone, ability to pause/change campaigns, on top of all the bells and whistles you'd already like on there.

might cost you any where from a couple K up to 10k

Prosper is solid, the team behind it is solid. Host it yourself and stop worrying, there's nothing to worry about ;)

yep. I dont know wes but steven, which is also a pretty cool guy and has helped me a few times already. Also, with prosper202 open source you can program your own needs into it.. just outsource it.

What I don't understand about prosper is it can't get accurate cpc data right? It just assumes your paying the max cpc you enter so how do you get an accurate read?

dont do it. hire it out or make it yourself, its really easy it just wont be as pretty.

Don't do it, I trusted a $40k a month campaign to Prosper and its a joke. It might be good for peanuts but don't trust it with your living. Get a custom job programmed, thats what I'm doing.

can you tell me what went wrong? is it a matter of scalability? bugs?

I run both my own tracking system based on smaxor's php scripts from his blog and run prosper202 as well on my smaller newer campaigns.

A lot of people doing way more than 40k a month trust it, myself included. So instead of reinventing the wheel, modify the open source prosper202 code to do what you want. It's not brain surgery.
Just make sure your server can handle it(or clear old clicks sometimes)

Why can't it handle 40k/month?

I'm averaging about $10k/month with ~10kclicks/day with no problem. The only issue i faced was generating report over a long period(eg. 1week) which took a while to load. Still, after i moved to dedicated with some stuff upgraded, everything works great.

It's opensource now, which mean we all could write custom module on top of it.

When i have too many campaigns, usually i'd have seperate tracking installed. That way i don't have to deal with multiple campaigns on the same report.

I started using prosper202 again yesterday and I trust it. There are lots of people using it and if an exploit gets discovered it gets fixed faster then I could fix it. To shitzu: how is it a joke with a 40K/ month campaign?

Test some smaller campaigns with p202 and then see if you like it, I'm actually paying someone to program something for me which is more of a moded version of the open source code. My guy is excellent and reasonably priced. PM if you're looking for something custom
