Thanks everyone. Didn't make the front page. My goal is really to just get people to participate in the blog and make it something worthwhile. Guess I shouldn't start something at 2:00am though... ;)
 
Its not very tasteful having ads on that site, sites like these should be setup from goodwill not to profit, its bad enough the way the media handle it.
I can only imagine you rushed to your registra to grab that domain to slap adsense on it, real nice.

This is why I stayed away for so long. Nobody can ever offer anything constructive, like "Good idea, hope it takes off".

Wanna see my adsense account? I made a whopping $0.07 from the leaderboard. That's it. I put adsense on everything even though I don't make shit from it. Total today from all my sites $0.51. Yeah, that's going to make me a fucking fortune.

What cracks me up is people are all over Anna Nicole Smith's death and monetizing the hell out of. There was even a post here about how someone made $15 in one day from their ANS site.

Answer me this...why is it one person's life is so worthless that it's socially acceptable to monetize the fuck out of, whereas college kids are so fucking precious that a person can't even stick a harmless adsense leaderboard on a blog? You fucking hypocrites.

I'm done with this bullshit. Jon, I love WickedFire, but I can't take the hypocrisy of the members and bullshit anymore. Please, delete my account.
 
I fail to see the hypocrisy. First off all, the people who monetized Anna Nicole Smith's death did not make a website monetizing others' prayers and sorrow.

Anna Nicole Smith's death is on a complete and incomparable level; we're talking about the execution of 30+ students, not the death of one person.

Having ads on that website, regardless of the income (or lack thereof), is truly in bad taste.
 
Mike.. take a breather for a day and just cool off.. It seems like just some normal constructive criticsm. No one dislikes you here, and I'm sure no one did anything or said anything to piss you off or poke fun at you. I know you're going through a rough patch, and it happens to the best of us. I'm not deleting your account, because you're a valuable asset here and a longtime member of the WF family. You'll be glad later, trust me mate.

Let it go man.. seriously. If it were my blog I'd put ads on it too.. hell, I would have put ads for the NRA or a gun store, so Mike is a saint compared to me.
