i just installed vbulletin to a folder in my public_html (say /forum)

I want it to be acessible as the main page of a domain on the site... so... in a different folder like (/mywebsite) can i just copy all the files from /forum into /mywebsite or???

how do i do this?

Double check your config.php file as well in the includes folder. Make sure the path(s) are good there as well.

check your config file, and the SQL, I don't know the tabel, but make sure the location is right... if that doesn't work, I can get some help from someone, I work for the vBulletin anti-piracy team so.... ya lol

FUCK

I paid someone to design, mod and install my first vB forum. Then I decided to learn how to install and everything myself... case and point - this thread.

Now I find out I somehow overwrote all the info for my existing forum and it is cleared. Nothing on it. FUCK FUCK FUCK

I hope he can restore it and from now on I'll leave the goddamn programming to the goddamn programmers. FUCK

FUCK
:repuke:

It seems like maybe an SQL problem Trigatch, but, lets try and focus on the topic starters problem:) PM me, I can try to help you

If you get thrown from a horse, you get back on!

Beat yourself up, mourn the loss, and move on. Maybe take a break and be distracted by a good friend for a little while, and beat yourself up one last time! haha

Keep learning, keep teaching yourself, but FIRST.....learn to save a backup! DO NOT give up on learning something new. If you do, then there will be good reason for others to join in and beat you up! :)
