VPS hosting noob question...

Although I do have a tech background my knowledge in hosting/linux is embarrassing...

Anyway I have a godaddy VPS and if I install a new domain in a directory which is not public_html (e.g., public_html/mysite) php isn't recognized, you can see an example:
pspemulatormac.com/hi.txt - working
pspemulatormac.com/hi.php - not working

Btw, if you get the file not found error its because I just moved that domain to godaddy and you might still see it in the prev hosting.

Is it not working in any directory? Because I just downloaded your php file, which means it's not parsing. Edit your apache config.

Nop, except public_html it doesn't work in any other directory.
