Was setting up 2FA for Gmail, and happened to come across this:

On the 5th of December, someone logged in to my Gmail account from the IP 50.196.159.45.

Now, let's see where this IP takes us.

This is prob a mistake.

If you give them access to your Google account ( for adwords ) and they log into it to make changes and then later while the person is surfing the internet and want to check their email, they go to gmail and are now in your email account by mistake.

Has happened to me lots of times where people give me THEIR main adwords login and not a 2nd login or under my MCC account. Hours later I go to check my gmail and realize I am still logged in as them.

If someone at BoostCTR really wanted to know your shit, they would have came back multiple times after the 5th.

Thanks. This makes sense.

However, I'm not sure why they were poking around since I've never used their services after signing up with them like a year ago.

well that adds in a wtf layer then.

if you signed up 12 months, havent used them since, and now they are poking around.. yeah thats cause for concern.

however, it could be that they got hacked, someone got your info, and logged in from their IPs/systems.

I don't really care about them poking around in my adwords account in the sense that there's really nothing exciting to see there. I have a couple of paused campaigns that never took off. Adwords isn't really my forte and I never really looked into MCC. I'm only worried about my Gmail account.

I don't recall what information I provided them, and since my account is disabled I can't look it up either.

Why are you seeing this from BoostCTR

Jokerr,

Thanks for posting. You are seeing a system change that we made to use oAuth instead of actual credentials. We moved our site and have been going through old accounts to ensure that they are still active. Historically we pull data for accounts even if you stop using them just in case you decide to come back. We will be setting accounts inactive in the coming months so this login should stop. If you want to stop it immediately you can login and cancel your account in the "accounts and settings" section. Let us know if you have any questions or need help.
