According to WikiPedia (List of countries by GDP (nominal) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia), the EU is roughly 1,300,000 billions GDP higher than the US. Add Canada (1.2) and Mexico (0.8) and you've got the US sitting at 15,000,000 ish with the EU at 14,200,000 ish.
Hence, a larger economy.

Natural selection and Darwinism are 2 things this country needs terribly - Also, as a country we have brought up our children and generations of adults, especially lately, with the ideals that blaming other people for your problems and getting paid for is the way to go.
I mean, look at the fat people sueing McDonalds, or getting burned by Coffee....Hey guys its hot.... and making money off it, that just tells everyone else "Hey, if I fuck up, I can sue someone for it and get rich".
Also, I know its great for people to have role-models but people like Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and the other no good worthless wastes of fucking space that girls are determined to act like arent helping either.
Oh, and California had the right idea with the California High School Exit exam, its just funny to see that so quickly after the it was instated that people are complaining because a huge portion of high schoolers are failing it and not graduating. They are saying that they need time to study the test and practice it... Your practice was called 4 fucking years of high school, if your too retarded to pass a simple exit exam, your too fucking retarded to have a job, drive a car or breath, you should just be taken out back and shot... That would probably do a nice job in boosting this countries overall intelligence...

GDP is one way of measuring an economy. America is sitting on a nice debt also.
Wow, that's just like we say, if EU, Russia and all those rich arabian countries join that you're fucked. USA is an union of states like EU.

OMG, every time I watch something like this I cringe. I know, as hopefully all of you do, that they likely encounter plenty of people who DO know the answers. Naturally, they can't show those, but before anyone jumps off a bridge because of the state of our society, let's consider that. 
That said, I still had to laugh. My favorite part was when he changed the maps all around and asked people to flag countries. I wonder when the last time was that some of these people actually looked at a world map?

What? That deoesn't make any bloody sense. The EU is in no way similar to the US. They were all complete and seperate countries before the Union. The United Sates has been acting as a single, unified country for 150+ years. That's like saying that Canada is made up of several independant pronvinces.

I agree. The EU isn't a country - yet. I think we will probably see it in our lifetimes though. I was actually really against European integration until the 'war on terror' fiasco began, now I've realised America needs a counterbalance and, though China is emerging, Europe is the most likely candidate.
Britain tends to get caught in the middle, but when it comes down to it, bar language, we have more in common with other Europeans than with America.
I think we all want it both ways. We want the power of a union combined with the ability to take decisions at an individual (country, state or personal) level.
You will never see the EU being a country...if you did it would not be the same EU it is now anyway because only the bordering 3rd world mofos in the EU would want it like that. Europe is no counterbalance, the war on terror who stepped up? The majority of the countries who did had their soldiers on orders not to fire...
I hope we (England) keep our distance from the EU like we are now, even though i don't like Brown he will make sure we don't go the way of the rest of them basically handing over control and using the shitty euro currency.

I disagree, I think further European integration is a good thing. - But then it's ok to disagree, that's freedom of speech. Something which Blair et al have been trying to limit of the last few years.
I agree with you in some ways though - I don't like Brown much either, but if only for political reasons (re-election), I doubt he will be as close to the current US regime - which, in my book is a good thing. I also agree that any future European 'country' will certainly be very different from the current EU - hopefully a lot more democratic and with big business having less influence.
The 'war on terror' is a joke. Actually, that's doing a disservice to the brilliant minds that orchestrated it. It is an incredibly sophisticated combination of propaganda and false flag operations designed to ensure that we are good citizens and do as we are told. It also just happens to be making a small group of people very very rich.
Back to Europe - of course it makes sense that poorer countries would want greater integration. It would benefit them more than the rich countries. But then, people who are ill value the NHS more. Businesses value grants and tax breaks. A lot of people would like lower taxes. Most people will always want what will benefit them the most - unfortunately.

Americans are an easy target.
If one honestly doesn't believe that segment was heavily edited to display the absolute worst idiots they could find then they are just as much of an idiot as the idiots that they showed.
I think the reason that it appears to other nationalities that Americans are all ignorant of the world around them is because the U.S. is almost always a focal point of almost every other country. By that, our countries' actions, good or bad, appear in your nightly news almost as much as it does ours. So many other countries' inhabitants have a fair to good amount of knowledge about the U.S. Even though it suffers right now, the U.S. dollar is the economic standard for other countries to utilize. The Euro and the Yen are obviously included as well.
However, since America is a focal point of almost every other country in the world, citizens of those countries are perplexed as to why Americans are not as familiar with their country's history, languages, politics, and geography as they are with America. Well, most Americans are relatively knowledgeable about countries of particular relevance on the World agenda at the time, but just because most of us don't know the gross domestic product of nowheresville like Croatia and the capital of Uganda, the people of those countries feel obliged to call us "idiots."
Oh well. I don't think about it too much. I've traveled the world (ex Navy) and my own country enough to be fairly sure that the basic level of intelligence of ANY population, ANY where are basically the same and that there are idiots everywhere. A
