Webair any good?



I have a dedi at webair, it's ok, the support is pretty slow, far far away from natnet..

yea I was looking at switching to webair, checked them out, one thing thats great is that there virtual plans come with several IPs, one thing I didnt like was the no cpanel aspect. I can handle that, but honestly Im just used to it.

Id love to hear anything else other people that use webair have to say.
 
i'm "trying" to use webair but its actually been a pain. what kind of host comes with no sql or sql permissions installed? i had to submit a ticket for that to be completed. then the one-button wordpress setup seemed to take forever... but i was thankful when it said it was successfully setup.

unfortunately it tells you to go to your domain to complete setup and i am greeted with:

Error establishing a database connection

i am frustrated but thankful that there's a free trial. maybe others have had better luck. i'm not giving up yet but simple tasks shouldn't be so difficult.
 
Signed up Webair's Cloud VPS hosting about 2 weeks ago.. and just sent in my cancellation request today.

After 2 weeks, 15 emails with tech support, a few live chats, and a short AIM with Gerard... I'm still unable to install Prosper202.

I must have tried installing 20-30 times, and each time it just times out.

I'm sure that in time the system admins would be able to figure out what's going on, but I just don't feel like waiting any longer to find out.

So, with much frustration and disappointment, I'm throwing in the towel and moving on to another host.
 
webair sucks. i got their cloud vps.. good thing i got a free trial cause that thing was slow as fuck. horrible io speeds
 
We got a small dedicated to test the waters, while we still have it - support is very, very slow.
 
Just a quick update.

After telling them I wanted to cancel my account, the support I received got MUCH better. In fact, they fixed the issue within about 5 hours and prosper202 appears to be up and running.

Not stoked to see all the other negative reviews on here, but I'm going to stick with them for the rest of the month and see how it goes.
 
Haven't ever hosted with them personally, but in this thread and every other thread where they come up I've seen them respond quickly and helpfully to every complaint against them. They've also built custom plans for some WF members.

They may not be the best, but it's clear they're willing to do what's needed to eventually get there.
