Well, after giving it many months of thought, and going over all of the current changes made, after the servers are all done and WF is at it's new home for at least a year, I'm going to be making some changes to revamp the way WF works and looks.

I'm not going to change the colors or feel to it really, more like adding new sections and areas to broaden the reach of content and attract more people in different channels of our industry.

Three things we've started to draw up plans for and already started to implement:

1- Content.
2- Security.
3- User Activity.

Here's a quick look and definition to the three topics:

1- Content: Giving users incentives to increase the output of quality and exclusive content over a broad spectrum of topics. Wer'e going to extend the current topics and give new niches their own forum sections, including many secret areas that you will only gain via invites.

2- Security: Better definitions and clarifications of older and newer rules, while making sure our current userbase does not change dramatically. ie- keeping the ebook people, scammers, spammers, and other forum idiots away from ruining our community.

3- User Activity: A community is nothing without it's active user base, and we feel it's very important to constantly come up with new ways and ideas to help get more users here to be more active, whether through incentives (the member loyalty program), rewards, contests, giveaways, freebies, etc.

Overall, the team here at WF, and I say this on behalf of the admins, mods, and guides, that our first priority out of everything else is to keep this place growing and giving and that ALL of this is strictly on a volunteer basis. Brandon and I have worked our asses off for nearly a year trying to make this place the best it can be without taking anything for ourselves. I happen to think we have the best damned staff of mods and admins, and most of our guides are proving to be quite worthy of their positions as well.

Next week we will be launching our First Annual WickedFire Awards nominees list so that everyone can vote for who they think should win for the best or worst of Jun 06-Jun 07. The winners will be announced at Affiliate Summit East 2007 in July.

We're also going to start our campaign of a shit ton of contests to give away free exhibitor hall passes to Affiliate Summit East. We have over 200 contests to run in a little less than 2 months time, so if you aren't an active member here, or you know you lurk and need to join, now would be the time to do so if you want to get in on this. And as always it's free.

Our prizes at our booth at Affiliate Summit East are going to be $60,000 in CASH (not coupons, or discounts, or cards), AND a 62" Fujitsu Plasma Screen TV with entertainment system (valued at $10k+). Two seperate prizes, both are kick ass.

I can assure you, we may have been a bunch of lazy people over the last few months, but with WickedFire's 1st birthday coming up, things are going to get VERY busy and super hectic here, and we want all of our members and fans to be apart of it.

You may see an email from us in the coming days with a survey. We want to know what you think of WF, changes you'd like to see made, honest feedback, testimonials (good or bad) about WF, etc. Instead of making the choices for you, we want you to tell us how to change things, how we are doing, and what changes you'd make if you were in charge here. (And unlike other forums, we won't try to sell you on anything either)

Thanks for reading!

Jon

Wow, sounds great Jon. Can't wait to see all that happens in the next few months. This is the only IM forum I read on a regular basis.

Don't count on it dude. I've been around these parts for a while and have yet to see Jon deliver pretty much anything (which is fair enough, but just don't count on it happening at all).

Although credit where credit is due, the place has attracted some really nice/smart folks.

Damn...sounds like some good things coming...makes me pissed off that I'm going to miss AS in Miami.

# of wickedfire changes posts.... alot
# of wickedfire changes.... not so much
% chance of winning 60k cash and a giant TV at ase... (not so much / alot)

What a shocker to see you posting here!

You only seem to come around when it's to bash me, haha!! A true forum contributor.. Take a lesson from this dildo, he seems to be the keeper of all the best information and secrets.

Bullshit. I've only ever commented on your unfortunate personality trait of over-promising. I show up on these particular subjects because I actually give a shit about the things you have promised.

We all have personality flaws, but you apparently keep on truckin' with these things rather than just letting things grow and improve as they are. WF has improved a shit-ton since all your friends tried to fuck you in the ass, when that was happening, I even IM'd you some support.

As for contributing in general, well, actually I do, when I have something useful to say.

And in fact, I mentored one WF member recently who was having trouble with his landing pages / campaign / tracking. And AFAIK, all the info I shared helped him step up his game a fair bit on the analysis side of things (this was over the course of 2 weeks, not an insignificant amount of time).

With such a great attitude this place shall grow to be quite popular!

I have lurked at other sites but this is my home.

I am new and as I learn; I will be able to give back .

And with barley any posts, a negitive rep, and a bad attitude, its no wonder it took you 2 weeks to help someone out, let me guess the eBooks didn't have all the questions you needed answered when you tried to help this person out and after 2 weeks you got ass raped and gave up......:thefinger:

Well shit.. you obviously have no fucking clue how hard it is to balance 10 projects in one hand and a forum in another. Until you ever come around, post something worthy enough, start up a forum on your own that gains the popularity we have here, micromanage the shit out of it, and try and get all of your ideas implemented but some of them never seeing the launch until months later.. THEN you can come here and bitch me out. Until then, take your sorry ass to another forum and go bitch to someone over there.

Wait.. do you hear those violins in the background? Boo fucking hoo. I don't even know what your AIM is you piece of shit. Wow! You helped one fucking person! Congrats! Do you have any idea how many people here help tons more each week? Or contribute even more by answering customer support emails and messages when they launch some script exclusive to here to help members out?

No, you don't, wanna know why? Because all you know how to do is focus on shit I've said and didn't connect with. I'm not apologizing to you anymore, you're not the type of member I want here, and that's not because you speak your mind. It's because you do nothing more than just that. Just constant banter and whining every fuckin time.

The only thing I do feel sorry for is that your mommy didn't hug you enough as a kid and made you into some internet tough guy on here. That's it really. Show me proof that you're worth a shit and that you've accomplished anything worthwhile. Because your whining is getting old, and when people see it, all they see you as is some whiney kid, with a bad rep, that hasn't done shit. So keep doing whatever it is you do everyday, and I'll keep busting my ass, spending money, and trying to come up with better ways to make this place grow, while you sit around waiting to bash whatever ideas people come up with and I come back and report on.

The prizes sound good. For the americans..

Yeah - how about a comp to win an expenses paid to trip to ASE?! :D

I came to this thread thinking it sounded interesting to hear what was planned - and it does - but it's a shame to have all this bitching.

I've not been around long enough to have any pre-conceived ideas about how successful this will be but I'm fully behind any attempts to make WickedFire an even better place.

I just went through all 41 of your posts. Of those, about 30 were cynical pieces of shit that didn't add anything to the topic.

75% of your posts are completely useless and here you are saying you contribute to the community. You have no right to be bitching about how things are run around here as long as you don't contribute shit. Have you ever thought that people might respect you more if your posts didn't send the message that you're a fucking douche bag?

Either learn to contribute or get the fuck out. I think I speak for everyone when I say no one wants you here.
