WF guide tag lameness part II

Asside from the obtrusiveness of the tags which I covered in an earlier thread there is another problem which is most of the people with tags simply aren't qualified to have them.

There are TOO MANY members with tags and after reading most of thier posts I am left scratching my head wondering how some these people could be 'experts'. A BH guide posted recently 'it is important to get your site indexed'..well duh! It doesn't take a BH expert to tell you that.

There are too many categories. Why not lump BH and SEO together since they are the same category.

The whole WF guide system needs to be overhauled. Its a mess. JMHO though

Since I disagree with you that the badges look wrong, I'll let you scrutinize me, do you think I'm qualified enough to be a blogging guide?

I provided examples of my current blogs when I applied for the position and I don't show them in my sig because I choose not to.

I am also wondering how these people got their titles, a few of these people that are labeled with these tags are certainly not living up to the title.

Dont get me wrong there are a few that know their shit and deserve it, but I think the scales are tipping toward the majority not knowing what the fuck they are talking about. Ok maybe not completely clueless, but really have no right to carry a the title of which they were branded.

I mean jesus christ I could play neighborhood design guru, Ive been designing for a few years now, but it would be a bunch of shit, because I am no guru and Im far from the best. Its all to subjective!!!!!!

Instead of crying about the guys that have the badges not living up to the job, why don't a few of you step up to the plate and try to TAKE their job from them by helping out other WF members in the area in which you think you are an expert?

Even if I were some kind of multi talented guru and I was able to help every person on the forum, I would still not accept a label, its just way to subjective.

Either way, yes I try to help people out when I can and no I'm not bitching, just chiming in with my opinion.
