I want to show some of you how easy it is to make money online, especially by season. So let's do a bit of a group project and keep the information up to date, day by day here so others can also learn and benefit.

If you're up for the challenge, I will give everyone up to a week to decide or get ready for this project and then we will begin, step by step, day by day, for approx 1 month to get you on your way to making money online. These are conservative goals and don't be ashamed if you can't meet them, all it takes it drive/effort and time really.

Winter 2007 -
What you need:
- Wordpress or Blogger account
- Your own domain
- Cheap hosting
- Custom layout
- Paid content (or you can write your own to cut costs and stay unique)
- Adsense/YPN account
- Ad network campaign for your niche topic (optional)

Budget:
- $100-$150 per month

Goals:
- Have a blog up and running within a week or less.
- Hire a content writer (or do it yourself)
- Have at least 1 new blog post every day for a month
- Make at least $200/mo with new blog by month 2.
- Generate at least 100 uniques a day via SE's by month 3.

Good niche topics to choose from:
- Tax season (businesses in March, consumers in April)
- Cold/Flu season remedies/medicines
- Winter sports (skiing, snowboarding, ice fishing, hunting)
- Winter vacations
- Winter accessories (shovels, sleds, salt)
- Fashion (gloves, coats, scarves)
- Jobs (ski instructors, ice skating rinks, shoveling snow)

I'm not feeling better actually.. kinda high on cold meds right now, but it's something we need to start doing here to get you guys motivated. All I ask in return is you tell your friends about WF and post good content here as well.

great idea. sounds, like i might learn a lot of useful stuff to finally bring my blog to life :) thanks a lot for this great idea.

my wife and i are game for this as soon as we return from vacation next week. we can get it set up before we leave. anyways we'll each do a blog. $200 return on $100-$150 investment plus all the time writing articles doesn't seem so great - but i figure there's a bigger longer term picture as you start to mention organic traffic by month 3. care to elaborate slightly more?

Some of the staff members here at WF want to also assist in the leading part of this case study, since I have a crappy reputation of walking away from projects when it's in the middle.

So they will also be taking part in giving their input on how to run this so that this becomes more of a team effort instead of just one person leading the show. Niiice!!

All we need from you guys is feedback and updates on how things are going and if you run into any issues or snags, you need to let us know on here so we can help you!

I've kinda of done this before but I would like join in this challenge because there is alway more to learn.

Do I have to us Wordpress or Blogger account or could I just use a CMS?:)

I'm game, starting to setup the site tonight. :)

How are manslings for a topic??

Awesome... although isn't it a bit late for winter, should have done this back in december or early jan? Perhaps spring is a better at this point for niche seasonal stuff, especially since a month from now by the time everything is running full tilt it will be spring...

Lerch.. just the fact that you knew of a product like that to get a picture for it frightens me a bit.
