I agree with the person who stated that we should have a seperate forum for this study. One thread will just have too much info that that some people will skip over and not find relevant. Also to answer all the questions.

Thanks Jon...
Even before reading this thread I was 90% there.

To use them on your blog you need to

1. download and unzip the correct theme
2. download RJL Software - Software - Utility - Simple Search-Replace
3. run the search and replace software on the theme folder and replace "wickedfire-adsense" with your Google ID
4. upload into your wordpress themes folder
5. go to presentation and choose the new theme

So whats going on with everyone? Everyone have a site up already? Everyone decide on the niche there going to hit? Can we get a peek?

Just finished design and am now coding it up into a template......

So is this contest or whaever working or has everyone just kinda gibven up?

No. Jon, said he's gonna give everyone a week to get their shit together. It's only been about 3 days.

Personally I already had a site with wordpress and layout all put together. It's not really seasonal, but I think I can make it work.

I felt compelled to whip something together from scratch, im just hoping I get this template together soon, so i can upload to a server and start adding content.

I am waiting on my designer - he's working on it next week. In the meantime, there is plenty to be working on... :)

I like the layout. There's a few graphical errors in the page, but other than that it looks great!

LendSense.com

I'm really digging the layout - it's a nice example of how you can use WP as a CMS without having it scream, "I'm some dude's personal blog!"

It's great in FF, but there are layout issues in IE. Use BrowserShots for testing in any browsers you don't have installed.

IC, thank yah, I forgot to change the url to them, I was testing on a local server..... Thank you, BTW thanks for the compliments.....

thanks for the link, wasnt even aware a site like this existed, I tested in IE 7 and latest FF.......

I am rushing things, id like to have some content up before the end of the week... You can do absolutely anything with WordPress, even without using a static home page, you can still have it work like a CMS........ than ks for the compliments.

Looks pretty neatyoink, I only have one question, how are you going to monetize it? Its going to be tough. Did you design the template yourself, have someone else design for you or is it a free template?
