I'm in. Just noticed the thread today. I'll either have a new site up tonight or use one that I created a month back with only one post then I didn't touch. I would just use that one, but it's not seasonal.

Does it really matter if it's seasonal? Will the stuff we go over here be dependant on that?

I'd rather you stay on with something seasonal, although it was just a suggestion, because it keeps everyone on the same page in a sense, especially when they are targeting similar topics. We can see if one outranks the other or shows up as a competitor. It's also a good way to compare stats for both traffic and earnings, but can also have completely different results from how one user uses their own creative edge on it.

lee are you from earnersforum?

No, Heck I only learned about Earner forum from here after reading the worseless thread...

^Jon do we have to list the site we're using right now I'm trying to pick a name from current domains I own.

If you don't want to list it here, you will have to list it in the private section for the case study, because we want to make sure people are following the rules, and we also want people to review over the results for all to learn and see how to do it.

After all the results are in, and everyone has done their work and the experiment is over, we are going to create a case study for everyone to use/review, and some people's sites will be used in it, while others may not.

By being part of this case study you get to learn everything hands on, but let's not forget, we are doing this for a reason. To help you guys who want to try, but to also educate our other members. All of the education content will not be available to non-members and will most likely only be available to members of the loyalty program. You can still earn loyalty points with us by taking part in this case study program and by keeping us up to date on what's going on and making suggestions, asking questions, etc.

It's a learning thing, not a cash thing.

Alright Jon, sounds good.

Well I'm going to register and create a seasonal site then. I'll be ready to go when you are.

I have created my first post on the site and tried to drop in 2-3 keywords into this post. kept one in the title, and also a few dropped in the post.

Stop smoking by building your will power

I tried to keep the post as general as possable so when people start coming to the site, ALL of the posts dont look like they are trying to promote a product, but I will do one product review each week to keep those in there, and hopefully rank for the products name in the SE's.

Jon, when will the education center be open to us? I tried going in and added my password but it did not work. I'm also pushing to become part of the member loyalty program as well :)

Nice Devore... I just quit, 2 weeks as of tomorrow. Tonight is Fat Tuesday, so if i go to the bar I will try to resist ;)

Here's a great post i found on digg a few days ago. Should be helpful.

70 Tips To Help You Quit Smoking at Ririan Project

Congrats, barman. I quit 126 days, 19 hours, 40 minutes and 25 seconds ago (not that I'm keeping track.)

[R]DeVore - the forums at quitnet.com are a goldmine for content in the smoking cessation niche.

Here's a question for the wordpress peoples. I installed adsense deluxe, but when I go to save my adblock, i get a bullshit 404 error >:| Anyone know why this is?

Alright I am in too, still figuring out my url.
Just wondering a few things, I have only done arbi so this will be great for me, obviously our ctr on these pages will be less. What can you expect for a ctr on these blog type sites.

barman - did you upload the whole Adsense Deluxe folder? You need to upload just the adsense-deluxe.php file for the plugin to work properly. If you uploaded the whole folder, deactivate, delete the folder, and try with just the plugin file.

jenn - I uploaded just the adsense file. It appears to work since i can activate the plug-in, go into the CP for it... but when I go to save my first ad block, it takes me to a 404 page.

Make sure that the spelling of you php adsense placeholder is correct. It is case sensative.

We've got a first-timer here...

Hey all –I have been lurking for some time now, but this thread motivated me to get into the action.

It just so happens I threw up a WP niche site a couple of weeks ago – Disney Memorabilia. It is not really a seasonal site, but I’d like to use it for this exercise if possible.

I am pumped about learning some tips from everyone. I just started getting into affiliate/adsense development 4 months ago, and so far everything has been a bust. Hopefully this thread will turn things around for people like me.

Feel free to rip my site – I’ll gladly take the punishment for some helpful insight. I really don’t know shit about Disney stuff - I just research topics, subscribe to feeds, and then piece together some posts. My plan is to build some content to generate search traffic. I must be doing something right because I have already landed a few visitors from Google results.

This is stupid. I can put anything in my "adsense code" section, "penis" or "this is a test" but when I put in actual adsense code, I'm getting a 404. wtf.

I'm in - just registered itstaxtime.net (guessed what it is yet?)

Should get the blog page up and running in next couple of days.

Cheers Jon.
