Hi there,

I subscribed to clickbank. So, when sorting the programs by 'popularity' it seems that there is only shit on there.. Like 'farmville guide' is in the first page of the offers!!

Is clickbank smoking pot : is a bad affiliate program ?

What's your experience with them ?
Thx

If you don't want to grilled then I suggest you head over the to Warrior Forum and post this thread on there and also delete this

Hey man, I'd usually flame the shit out of you for asking such a retarded question. But since I'm feeling nice today, I'm gonna hook ya up with a video on some clickbank tips. It's helped me make thousands, good luck!

Clickbanks pretty good if you want to have your own product and get some affiliates to promote it, but promoting other clickbank products as an affiliate pretty much blows.

And that farmville product, has only been out since 10/17/09 and has a total gravity of almost 37k. It sells for $27... so it has done close to 1 million in sales. Of course, clickbank takes a small fee and he has to pay affiliates, but it's definitely a pretty good chunk of money for a shitty ass ebook that probably took only a week or so to throw together.

Something else to keep in mind about Clickbank (you may already know this)...

Some of the products are used by their creators merely as front-ends into higher-priced stuff. For example, you might see a book or piece of software priced at $27 with a 75% commission. The high commission (percentage wise, at least) motivates a ton of affiliates to play. Everyone mails their lists to drive traffic and sales. Assuming the refund rate is reasonable, affiliates are happy. They continue to promote the product.

Meanwhile, the product creator is happy to pay 75% commission to affiliates because he/she is gathering a targeted list of buyers. Those buyers go onto a list. The product creator mails this list to move these leads into higher-priced niche products or memberships (continuity programs). From $27 to $67 to $97 to $397, etc.

A lot of folks at WF look down at CB, but there are smart ways to use it. If you're trying to make a killing with one ebook, you're fighting an uphill battle. It can be done, but you'd need to get the big guns to "product launch" it for you. I'm not talking just mailing their lists. I'm talking forum work, blogs, affiliate contests, free reports, "leaked" reports, special interviews, launch date, server downtime, etc.

It's a system.

Shit, I couldn't believe that I fall for that .... I clicked that fucking video

Shitty on ClickBank is like shitting on CJ. They are with no doubt the largest marketplace of virtual items. If you really think no one is making money there you are mistaken.

I didnt know that or taught of it but it makes a lot of sense. Big marketers use it to get leads basically for their high end products. Thank you for sharing this. And then again this proves that on aff marketing you have to think outside the box.

Even better than a self liquidating lead then, because of the viral aspect plus you're making a buck.

True. You're making a buck on the front-end. But, the point of doing this is to gather a list of folks who are proven buyers. The list is more important than the front-end profit. They've proven themselves willing to take their wallets out and buy, which is a lot more valuable than an opt-in.

A list of 5,000 people who opted in to get a free report is less valuable than a list of 100 people who ponied up $17 for an ebook. So, yes. The list is self-liquidating and it can grow virally. But most importantly, it's a list of buyers, instead of tire-kickers. That's powerful. You can sell to 'em again and again, building trust along the way.
