I'm at the first time where I need a lawyer to review my sales page (high risk rebill). I am looking for a lawyer to do this so I don't get fucked over somehow.

I googled "Internet lawyer" but that just seems so cheesy and unprofessional, I thought they'd have thought of a better name than that.

What are lawyers called who specialize in complying with the FTC online?

(That's probably not the only thing they do, but are good at it.)

P.S. I need one like this because Frank Kern's story of him just using a regular lawyer and getting ultra fucked over scared me :D

ftc lawyer will run you 10k minimum retainer and 500/hr

regardless, u can get sued by anyone for anything in this biz whether you are right or wrong, compliant or not.

if u want some referrals and you dont flinch at that number, msg me

Here's what a attorney is going to tell you,

Don't make any unsubstantiated claims, disclose your billing terms properly.
Allow customers to cancel without hassling them.

You can get Mark Geragos to review lander, if you're not following the above advice you will have trouble defending a FTC lawsuit.

I don't know why you guys are suggesting an IP attorney. A lander with bullshit promises, fake testimonial, or linking to a shady processor doesn't have anything to do with intellectual property.

Best bet is probably to call up a Tort lawyer and ask for a reference regarding a specialist in product liability.

PM me if you still need a name. Again, not cheap but specializes in this area and FTC. Probably a bit cheaper than a large law firm however.

That's probably more of a case where the person suing saw the big name, claims of making millions in 25 minutes, got fucked over by Frank's system, and decided to sue and make money that way. They also probably knew his lawyer's history and knew Frank was probably going to take the claim with a grain of salt so his lawyer was less likely to due adequate research.

Nevertheless, look up someone with a strong history in Intellectual Property as others suggested, but also make sure they are good in Internet Copyright Law (which is basically the same area, but is the term that most cases on the Internet get classed as).
