What do you look for in a host?

I'm curious as to what you find most important in choosing a web host...

check their last re-boot the server.
if its hold quite some times, that mean the server is stable.

Definitely a stable server, reliable, cheap, etc.

Good support when shit goes bad. Not the typical "oh am sorry we can't help you with that" or "it's not our fault its yours"

scalability!! If you can google for answers to your server problems nothing else matters. I can tell you for certain that only one thing is more frustrating than moving from shared to vps to xxx just for modest increase in traffic. That one thing is the money you're losing because your site has too many targeted visitors for your budget host to handle.
