Plug it into your vbulletin and it will produce real posts made by real people with real replies

Only thing is that it's not niche specific. But can be broken down roughly into, Politics, Economy and Love (whatever else you find in places like "Forum lounge" etc.)

Content is 100% unique

I'm thinking 300$/month for 150 daily new threads (each thread has at least 1 reply, but usually more). With 9000 min posts per month it would come out to around 0.03 per (perfect native english) post

I already have a working prototype, but not even sure if I'll release this to public... just wanted to gather some ideas from the collective mind

I don't dabble in forums so I personally wouldn't buy it, but I can definitely see the value in it.

$300/Month is probably a little steep, but without any other solid alternatives out there its not too ridiculous.

150 new threads per day? For one board? I think that's a pretty high number for even huge boards

Nice idea.

Do you think this is suited to a monthly subscription model though? I figure this is sort of thing where you'd buy a package once or twice to make your new forum not look completely empty.

OLD IDEA

No offense mate , but this sounds like that forum post generator sold on one of the big BH forums , I'm quite sure you know which one i'm talking about .

The only way anyone is gonna buy it is if you sell it for much cheaper which is crazy cheap honestly and well that software is already cracked , so yeah .

However , a good idea would be to give it out free , maybe you could gather some leads ? But seriously it's an old idea , and I was running it at 200 threads a day and 4 figure posts a day and I definitely didn't make enough ;)

Honestly I'm not sure what you mean. Do you think you could PM me the link. The content is not auto-generated. It's actual people having actual discussions. Discussions are not from dropped domains or other forums. They're 100% unique and not in Google's index (unless they're in some kind of deep web non-viewable index which we can't see <- don't think so).

If 150 threads is too much how many would you prefer?

Thank you for the idea about giving it away for free as a means of collecting leads.

Yeah sorry for the rank was a little high , anyway if this are real people discussions then , this shit is unique .

150 threads is fine , but the feature to be able to increase or decrease the bot will be better .

you can already get paid posts for a lot cheaper than that, and a plugin is basically unneccessary, because they'll go through your entire sign up process and even create a realistic profile and it's all included in the price.

As the owner of a forum with 119k threads and 9.5 million posts (average 79 posts per thread) I'd have to say 150 threads per day is simply crazy. A smaller forum really shouldn't have more than 20 to 50 threads started per day, and for google to show any love the thread really needs to get close to a full page of responses, which would be around 12 to 15 responses randing from one line to a few paragraphs.

What I could see as useful is a service where you input your forum URL, then pay a small setup fee to create some profiles, and then have the option of selecting forums you'd like posting in, type a quick subject of the thread, and select the minimum number of replies you want over 24 hours to a week, and then pay a calculated fee based on the requirements.

interesting, what's the going rate? Are they native english speakers? This is 3 cents per post. Most of the posts are no less than 30 words also (usually more).

The cheapest, but still descent india written article I see in BST is 1,75$ per 100 words. So for 30 words it should be around 58 cents. Or May be my math is a bit off.

Are you sure those are native english speakers producing the content and having real discussions?

Unfortunately this is where the tool lacks. Average replies would be from 1-2 only. At times they go over 5 replies, but that would be something like 1 out of 15 threads.

When I first started my board I dabbled with some dripped auto-content thingie like this, it created members, dripped daily threads/responses based on keywords I assigned, etc. - In the end, I was left simply cleaning up a HUGE mess, real members started seeing through it, and I slowly removed EVERY bit of fake content as the real content got put in.

IMO you might be able to sell a few one time packages but boards become intimate fast and if you pumped even 20 new fake threads a day for more than a month as new members are coming at the same time = potential big fail and a bigger mess to clean by the day.

Only way I can see this being beneficial is for brand new boards to give them a boost so they're not naked but once you're up to even a handful of members I'd slow down to a stop pretty quick. I'll try to find the shit I used so you can inspect it, dude sold a few hundred if not a few k units of his before trying to sell the biz. I think it was 'insta...' something, will try to pull it up.

pre-launch campaign ---> optin list ---> open

...would pretty much kill your service. But it's a good thing for you that people don't do that :D

$300/month would be fine if you could guarantee unique content, 5-25+ replies per thread and niche specific. I have a dying/dead forum that I would pay that amount for if you could guarantee the above requirements. Since yours is basically a "shooting the shit" script, with no control over number of posts, posts per thread, or niche then I would say it is considerably overpriced. I remember something like this a few years ago that pulled from Yahoo Answers and it never worked very well. Might be the one ncmedia is talking about.

Here's the one I used, it looks like it's gotten a LOT better, and rightfully so I used this 3 years ago, actually looks kinda promising now, if I had to start all over it might have gone better for me but you can see it's $70 one time:

Instadigi - Instant Community Content Solutions

EDIT: lol he even has testi's from johncow, johnchow, wtf.

that's a very nice solution. Posts are niche specific and would bring value to any related forum. Only problem I found is when I tried googling up "
Well, your question is a good one. Many people struggle with a driver" <- part of one of the replies. Definetly not unique content.

But looking at some replies including Unarmed Gunman, I can see that 300$ is a bit much for something that unspecific. Only niches I can guarantee is "politics" and "romance".
