I heard this guy on George Strombonopoulos last night (Our Canadian Letterman lol) and I really enjoyed his ideas...

Listen to this if you have a few minutes. Hilarious and insightful.

he didn't really get to anything there except jokes. a couple of obvious observations, but nothing much more than that.

Watched a few of the guy's videos.

His outlook is very simple. He views life very simply. He speaks some basic (what I perceive to be) truths.

But I wonder how credible he would sound if he didn't 110% look the part. Ya know?

When you boil it down, he's just a wise looking Indian man with a magnificent beard, mesmerizing cadence, and a lot of opinions.

To put it simply, "God" is a conflation of alien beings and spiritual phenomenon, contorted for control purposes.

Beat that, bitches :)

God is an anthropomorphized projection of the seemingly limitless capacity of our subconscious minds, while simultaneously serving as a primitive heuristic tool for attempting to grasp the incomprehensible totality of reality and the human experience.

Or, you can just ask God himself.

"I Am Who I Am."

Obvious to who? Both scientists and religious people would disagree with what he is saying.

He's basically saying you cannot explain god, you cannot understand it. You can only find ways to dissolve in it (experience it).

"God" is an excuse for humans to be humbled by the universe, which is hard for us, because we are so fucking good at everything.

You can say whatever you like about ogranized religion/faith, etc, but I think the concept of being "less than" is infinitely valuable for people, and allows for a certain degree of openess that is easily lost if you believe your own press.
