I've been reading threads about how much of a drag article marketing can be and I had a few questions for you guys who make decent cash doing it. Would you just outsource all of your articles right from from the beginning? Would you write one article and spin it several times? I just wanted to find out the most time efficient way to go about it because I would rather not have to write 10-20 articles every single day. What advice can you guys give me on this?

I don't do this anymore because of stuff you already explained, but I would definitely recommend outsourcing as soon as you're comfortable. Anybody can write articles. Until then, you could try Dragon Naturally Speaking to make articles more quickly.
What kind of article marketing did you want to do? Submitting to AC for money or generating traffic? AC is a colossal pain in the ass, and I would never recommend it, but some people (purportedly) do okay with it.
Also, I got a friend who does this and is really determined to get better at it but she doesn't know how to socialize. If you're interested in a little co-venture or someone to trade tips with, IM me on aim, you guys should be able to make something happen between the two of you.

i recently downloaded the free dragon dictation app for my iphone and have since been dictating articles like crazy.

just read some chump's article from ezine or any other article dump in your own words and email it to yourself and clean it up. takes less than 5 minutes.
