What kind of website can I create just to be approved with a network?

I just submitted an application to shareasale and they want a website and I don't have any affiliate websites. At this time, I just link traffic directly to the offer. I do have a website but it doesn't have anything to do with marketing, it's for a pool cleaning business that I was going to start, the only thing affiliate related is: "Refer a friend and receive $50".

Not sure the type of website I should create. I don't know what they look for to approve an account. Should I just create a landing page for one of my current merchants even if I'm not going to use it? or a blog type thing with articles on marketing (none of these would be my articles, don't know if it's going to be a problem using somebody else's).

If they aren't that picky, can I just make a blank page with some banners?

A lot of networks you don't need a website initially. Just convince them that it is a work in proccess and you plan to use ppc advertising.

The only thing I've ever been turned down for is having a website where my whois is hidden.

alright well hopefully this website will work, although I typed in the wrong domain, I put in .com instead of .net

I e-mailed them hopefully they'll see that e-mail before they decline.

Just tell them you don't have a website because you plan on doing PPC direct to merchant. With some offers, this isn't allowed under any circumstances, but you should be able to find some offers that do allow it. Shit, most of my campaigns are direct to merchant.

I've already e-mailed them, but in their terms when they asked for a website they stated something like... "Even if you don't have an affiliate site, you have to have a website describing your services". It was something like that, a statement saying I have to have a website.

That's why I made this post to get some advise. I've seen merchants ask this information and then when you're done with the online application you're approved right away, which is what I was hoping.

Instead I got a message saying that my account isn't going to be approved until my website is evaluated and I should get an answer with 24-48 hrs. (business days).

read me lips. co-peac. that is all. i got approved without a site and have heard awesome things about them.
