I've had some really decent stuff running for awhile and suddenly 2 or 3 days ago it just tanked. I think I made like 2 figures in profit yesterday and actually had negative profit today, which is something I haven't seen in a loooong fucking time, I think I actually had an anxiety attack because I felt like I was about to pass out. Same amount of traffic but conversion rates shot way the fuck down, on literally every network. Anyone else notice anything weird with your mobile campaigns the past couple days or is it just me?

Thats how campaigns go sometimes up sometimes down diversify to avoid anxiety attacks also check out the offers see if anything changed

I actually had an interesting conference call with Flycell and some other groups yesterday.

I can't say too much except that I know they are hurting pretty bad and are willing to try anything at this point to stay in the game.

I wouldn't expect things to get better anytime soon.

Makes sense, their paying out and paying out hoping things will turn around. However if things aren't converting as well as they use too and they are hemorrhaging money, one day they have to say - this is what we are getting off this offer - and start scrubbing away to make it profitable.

If they are really hurting that bad, sucks for everyone because there was no forewarning. Nothing new to the game, but what would you have them do?

What they need to do is charge people ~$19.99 for the initial message. I could live with a $15 payout if it meant they wouldn't scrub a third of my leads, and then at least they're still profiting, rather than paying the affiliate more than they make in hopes that every lead will keep paying the monthly fee.

What offer are you running? Is it the same offer across different networks or completely different offers?

Ringtones.net on Azoogle, Top-Logo/Funmobile on Net Partner, Glamtones on Copeac, and Flycell on Ringtone Partner.

Lol, nice way to charge people. :xmas-smiley-016:

Nonetheless, ringtone companies are having a tough time and we at Flycell understand the problems that affiliates are facing (including the major prob with google adwords - where they now require all "creatives" to have the 9.99/month slogan in bold)

We are working full time to gain control of the situation but google being bitchy and acting "Big Daddy" I am not sure what all can be done to regain former strength and competitiveness.

Hoping that things will be back to normal in a feew days.

Thanks
Al

I haven't made a profit in like 3 days, I'm actually thinking about pausing mobile for awhile and doing weight loss, that's how bad it is :(

If you can do a lot of volume check out Sendme Mobile. They're looking for new affiliates and in my experience they don't scrub near as much as most networks...

i think alot of networks dropped sendme Mobile .. Or are you talkin about going direct with them? i know neverblue use to have them and i got my balls scrubbed from them i had a post about it this past summer.

drop the payout amount. if they can't stand the heat stay out of the kitchen, don't turn to fraud and theft at our expense to balance the books. if they haven't got their offer in order thats not our problem and if its a problem with the industry in general then the industry will be better when all the offers drop their payouts. then bid prices will decrease and natural selection will benefit both merchants and working affiliates. scrubbing in my eyes only benefits the lazy merchant who now gets to pick and choose as many leads as they like safe in the knowledge that they can always run at a profit and can control just how much profit they take. there is no justification for this.

I'm seeing it more and more. I don't get it. They should lower the fucking payout if they can't pay that much. This fucks up all my data.
Some places even quality leads are getting scrubbed fuckless(I'm looking at you true.com). Ugh.

it's because shoemoney already sold everyone on the internet ringtones in 2007 and the advertisers are scrubbing duplicate leads. snuggie offers are your only salvation.
