What to do with RSS on my WP theme?

There are the links pre-set up on my WP theme for RSS and comments RSS. I have NO clue what to do with them!

Should I avoid the headache and delete them? Is there an easy step by step what to do with them? What are the advatages of keeping them?

(400+ posts and several hundred hours of roaming WF......I'm still an extreme noob-haha)
