Like many others, I keep thinking to myself: if only I started this online stuff when I first had the internet in the mid-nineties... I would be billionnaire right now :rasta:. But noooo.... instead of thinking ahead, here is what I was doing back then on the internets:

- Looking up Warez to find cracked games and appz
- Googling cheats and codes for my favorite games
- Chatting with fat hoes on IRC LOL
- Looking for XXX passwords to get into paid sites LOL
- Write about useless stuff on my GeoCities homepage LOL

What about you? What were you doing back then, instead of investing into .coms, SEO and Aff Marketing? :rasta:

Looking up porn on my mom's AOL account, then visiting 10 random sites afterward so the history bar wouldn't show the porn sites.

downloading random information that would get me dissapeared under the patriot act nowadays and playing gemstone and terris lol.

I was in 8th grade:

- Going in AOL MTV chat rooms and asking "A/S/L" and talking up my height/weight stats by IM
- Getting online "girlfriends" who I'd IM regularly
- Have "cybersex" with "girlfriends" from MTV or Surfing chatrooms

God, how pathetic...

Nobody has mentioned how they were "Waiting". I remember the old hourglass bar was a major fixture on computers of that time.

SHit.. all the hours spent on MIRC.. And discussion boards... and harvesting female emails... spamming with ASLs :-) Yeah I did that.. There were some sites which gave email addresses for any first name , last name .. was it people.yahoo.com??

edit: lemme check my old folders and see if those emails are still there :-) I will make them double optin

Emailing the President, adopting whales, and the like...

(I had a pretty high achieving elementary school.) Didn't use it for games/browsing until AOL 5.0.

It took us nearly 2 weeks before we ever heard the "You Got Mail!" seems right after AOL released 19.99/month unlimited dialup shit just went to hell for first few months.(That happened in '96 though, so I didn't really have internet yet in 95)

Needless to say I didn't mess with the internet much, while after that I managed to figure out the encrypted passwords of NetZero accounts so that I could simply dialup with microsoft's DUN panel so I Didn't have to stay in the damn ad-controled box.

I dunno I was in middle school so not much. I believe a few years after that I did finally get internet at home and Ultima online.
