What would you do if you ran 6 figures to an aff network but your am flaked?

imo, who cares. There are 5-6 good networks out there. Just run with the ones that have the best offers and payouts for what you're doing. This business is about making money, not how friendly you can become with your AM.
imo, just because you ran a lot of traffic with a network doesn't mean they owe you anything. I remember a few years ago people were complaining because a certain network wouldn't buy them dinner at a convention. Seriously? That is crazy.
If a network wants to keep my business they get the offers and payouts I need and I reward that by pushing those offers as hard as I can. I don't ever expect kickbacks, gifts, or other silly crap. If they can get offers and payouts that nobody else can give me, then they deserve my revenue.
That is all. I'm sure some will disagree with me, but w/e.

1. Heads up when new offers in my niche are killing it.
2. Giving me caps and pay bumps.
3. Placing pixels (even that most network you can do yourself)
4. Making sure I get my wires on time.
Everything else is just extra and i don't feel just because I do some volume all of a sudden my AM is a friend.
Plus why does it matter so much to meet with the AM anyway. There's really not much they can offer you unless they are outing other affs campaigns, which is fucked up anyway. Spend that itme chasing down new traffic sources and direct advertisers.

Too many people are bred for the world of 9-5 jobs these days. The idea that they might have to go above and beyond their duty will shock them. The managers that make the biggest bucks both do their job very well and go way the fuck beyond the call of duty for the 20% of the people who make all their money.
Some friends and I were hitting up a strip club at 1am on a weekday for one of their birthdays. One of the guys was told that his ID wasn't good enough (he's in his 30s, and the ID was fine). I told the bouncer, without getting upset, that if he was turned away, we'd all leave. The bouncer didn't care. I told him that 8 of us at $10/each for cover and coat check, plus $10/drinks and possibly a dance for the birthday boy means a minimum of $200 dollars for his boss in less than an hour. He told me to fuck off. So me and my $200 did.
If anyone fucks around like that, go to someone who won't.

I've had affiliate managers go above and beyond all of that, and did so without outing other affiliates campaigns to me.
No, it sounds like the bouncer thought for some reason that his ID was fake and didn't want to risk his job and the entire establishment for a measly $200.
But seriously though, they don't have to be that responsive to you. Yeah, networks should be like A4D that treat all their affiliates awesome because it benefits their bottom line more than giving people the cold shoulder, but it doesn't mean they are obligated to if they don't want too.
I kinda think flying out to wherever you AM works so she can show you the sights of where she lives and then running around a show trying to get her to meet you for drinks just so you can discuss how to run more business is totally unnessesary not to mention a bit creepy. Also getting table service at a club and inviting her there for drinks sounds far from a "business chat". It sounds like whoever this person is is trying to get into her pants. Shes obviously aware of this and decides to fuck "the affiliate" off concluding that no amount of business this schmuck makes for the company is worth his sweaty sleezy fingers over her over a couple of grey gooses and slim line tonic.

If you want people to hang out just be like "Looking forward to shaking your hand and having a chat". Don't be like, "LOOKING FORWARD TO THE HOTEL AND SIGHTSEEING AND DINNER AND POSSIBLY MARRIAGE!!!"
And if someone takes a step back from me I always take a step back myself. It works way better than following them around. Tried tested and true.

I know it's nothing special, but it still fucks me off when an AM at a major network, who should be a trustworthy person, effectively steals a few grand out of your pocket.
"should be a trustworthy person" lol. you get what you put out there. and if u have a reputation for starting threads on public forums where you out your own traffic sources and campaigns, then i wouldn't say you are particularly trustworthy.

Meh. I just think networks should hire trustworthy people, and pay them enough to not have to rip campaigns from their affiliates. (It was all during his work hours). I've learnt my lesson though, I guess.
What're you talking about about starting threads outing my traffic sources and campaigns? I've never done that...
