Totally new to internet marketing but I am serious about wanting to build a fulltime income. I've been looking at all the "how to" systems and I'm totally confused. Any suggestions as which are the best to invest in???

Don't buy one.

I learned more here than anywhere else on the web - and it's all free. Take a few weeks and read every - EVERY - sticky in this section.

Then, read them again. And then stop reading, and DO something. ANYTHING. Learn how to buy a domain and setup hosting (NOT THROUGH GODADDY).

You will fail. You will learn.

Then, do it again.

Before I made my first dollar I believe I set up 12 separate sites and failed with all of them.

Now I am consistently making small amounts of money.

I have a lot more to learn - but I've crossed the first real milestone - consistent cash in any amount.

Say NO ebooks/video tutorials and get quick rich schemes as pushed my the internet marketing guru's and their ground breaking systems.

1. Read all the stickies on the forum and Newbie Guide | NickyCakes.com and post all your questions in the newbie's section for now.

2. Invest money on building or testing campaigns/spending money on building sites and SEO.

3. PROFIT.

There's more info here than in any lone ebook, let alone one that someone is charging for and marketing as a get rich quick. Read read read.

Forums are a great source of learning. You should prefer to peep into the topics instead of investing in a book that might be of no avail.

1.) Stay far far away from DigitalPoint and WarriorForum as well as any methods that can be found on there.

2.) Read all the stickies and threads in the treasure troves.

3.) Go on to CashTactics.net and read all of Rucks old posts (BTW, he is the owner of Convert2Media, a very popular and well respected network). In addition, read the newbie guide on Nickycakes.com. Some other blogs to read front to back are Adhustler.com, PPC.bz (yes serious), and the Convert2Media blog.

4.) Stop reading and get to work. Seriously! This was my biggest problem when I was first starting out. You'll always feel like you don't know enough to get started until you get started. It's just the way it is. The worst thing you could do is read too much...aside from taking advice from the likes of Tyler Cruz, Zac Johnson, et al. After you spend a few days reading the above material, just start working. Pick an offer and run it, whatever it is. You are going to learn so fucking much by just doing. There is only so much that can be taught through reading. Everyone here will agree, you just have to get to work. Everything will fall in place afterward. You'll realize how much you do know, and what you still have to learn. Then you can focus on reading just what you need to fill in the blanks.

It's amazingly easy to get started. Go get your $100 free Facebook ad credits from the Visa Business Network (google it). Research and pick an offer. Set up your tracking. Make your Ad Copy. Resubmit said ad copy 13 fucking times. Lose some money. Revise and resubmit. Lose some more money. Revise and resubmit. ?????. Profit. If you direct link, you won't have to spend a fucking dime and you make actually make some money. So fuck any "systems." The only system you need is this forum, and few awesome blogs, and hard fucking work. Many people pulling in a lot more than you think possible got started with less. So just work...work work work.

"How-to" systems are pretty much scammed. The newbies are easily attracted to it, since they don't know much about how STUFF works. But I can honestly say that, WickedFire has loads of ideas for you to give a shot.

While reading threads, if you come across any post that interests you, stop reading immediately. There is no need to go further from that point. Think about whether you have the skills to do that stuff. If YES, then take action.

Learning combined with Action is a good combination to achieve your goals.

Because it's like being stabbed in the eye with a knife made of grapefruit.

It fucking hurts, it doesn't make sense, and no one is going to have sympathy - they'll just laugh.

every expieriance ive had with godaddy has been fast, quality, and cheap (as far as domains)

I thought so too. Then I tried something else.

Godaddy will hold your domains hostage for 60 days anytime you update the WHOIS/registration information. They also bug you frequently to update that information.

They want $200 to release them inside of that window.

I am in process of moving off of them permanently.

In general it's just not a bright idea to host your websites where you buy your domains and yes I will agree with the others - GoDaddy hosting is terrible.

I used Site5.com shared hosting before I went to Softlayer.com for dedicated hosting. Didn't have any problems with either of them. :2twocents:
