I've been running ads with them for close to 2 weeks now and have racked up well over a thousands clicks, but not a single conversion. Luckily, the clicks are dirt cheap, so I'm not too upset, but I'm definitely pulling the plug on them until I figure out what's going on. I can also see in Prosper that almost no one from AdEngage and almost no one from Etology actually clicked my affiliate links. Click fraud, methinks? With hundreds of clicks apiece, this can't be a coincidence. My other traffic sources are converting quite nicely.

Anyone had this experience with them?

What are you running? Rebills? Sending arcade traffic to rebill will make you $$.

Excuse the newbishness, but let me make sure I understand.

Sounds like your'e saying these ads mostly run through arcade sites, which means most of my clicks are accidental or something? Looking at the sites that are sending me traffic through etol / adengage, I don't really see any that are arcade sites, though they're all definitely of questionable quality...

Click fraud?

If you wana make money with AdEngage, you have to target sites and find out converting sites.

If you buy Ad without any site targetting, they will distribute your Ad to their network. Most their publishers are adding HOT images near to the text ad. The clickers click on these very irrelevant image and come to your LP, so they bounce high since they were deceived by the publishers. And yes, most their general network sites are arcade, retarded video, file sharing, live tv which means young audience... However, they have bunch of decent sites. Also, even if you buy phototext Ad, some their publishers add an image in between the text and image to increase CTR.

Simply, target few sites each with two times your CPA, and then hit the converting sites hard (you can buy directly from them without Adengage).

Good luck.

Click fraud?

If the referer data and ips from the clicks seem irregular and you have proof, the ad platform should offer a credit but I've been burned hard by clickfraud from multiple places. If that's the case don't use those sources after that and tell everyone who asks about them they don't have control over their publishers who will send you a bunch of crap traffic.

For Adengage, you have to check where the traffic is coming from. Like they will say that 40% of the traffic comes from US, 30% from Europe, and the remainder from Asia.

Then you open up the logs and 80% of the traffic comes from China.

But yeah, sometimes the traffic is so dirt cheap, it's hard to resist.

There is one simple rule to Adengage and Etology, Be prepared for Negative infinity ROI.

I bought 1 billion clicks from them last week for $1.75 and made 1 conversion for $0.80c

I really feel bad for all the Chinese kids fingers clicking all day.
