I learned emacs first, and loved it for like the first 2 weeks until I decided to "try other things". Haven't looked back, just use vim.
We should start a .bashrc and Vim Plugins thread; my console is pimped to hell and rather gangster, but I'm sure you motherfuckers know some dope .vba files, knowatimsayn?
I'm mostly doing either HTML/CSS/JS, Python, PHP, C here and there, or just editing config files and doing text processing. vim and ipython split in 2 windows in GNU screen makes my life very easy. also just added Vrome from uplinked's post, which I'm already enjoying.
Moved from Dreamweaver to Eclipse/Aptana and have been using it for 2 weeks. I have to say I'm not really a fan. It's slow as shit and doesn't do anything that Dreamweaver doesn't, except for some annoying code completion. I think I am going to download DWCS5 which has some siiick new features, like recognizing includes even when they aren't in the immediate file.
