Hi guys,

I need a little help here. I was too fucking lazy to make a reservation for the seaport hotel, and now it's fucking sold out.

I have a family in Natick, it's 22 miles from boston, so I can rent a car & drive everyday from Natick to ASE, but as it's my first summit, I don't really know if it will be better to place a reservation in other hotel in the area. I assume that there are social events on the nights, so I don't want to miss that.

Anyway, what will you suggest me to do?
Where do you plan to stay?

Thanks guys,
hope to party with you all on ASE :)

Ohhh man! Theres no good feeling like knowing that you are not the only stupid guy around :)

Anyway, what do you plan to do?
There is this Reniesence hotel, that ASE is affiliated with, problem is all the "group rooms" are sold out, so the rate for a normal room is $300/night.
What do you think?

Anyway, the box idea is not so bad, I'll bring hookah :)

I called the Renaissance and booked yesterday, no problem with ASE group rate. I did have a problem trying to do the same online.

I should add they were also accommodating with early check-in and late check-out, though I've read reviews that said the rooms are nothing great.

For those with the Starwoods AMEX, the host hotel was recommending the Westin Convention Center Seaport Hotel nearby. For affiliates not otherwise being sponsored... this sounds like the best/ easiest/ cheapest/ free (?) bet.

I took my girlfriend to Hotel Marlowe for her birthday last year. Its about 1 mile from Seaport I believe. Its right on the water, it was a very nice place to stay. If Seaport is sold out, that's probably where I'll stay again. We had a suite that night which was pretty lux, but it was a really classy place so I'm sure the regular rooms are nice too. There's a nice restaurant/bar on the bottom floor, and its connected to a huge shopping mall (well you have to walk thru the parking garage). Check it out-

I've only been out to bars/clubs in Boston once and I don't really remember the area because I was wasted. When I stayed at Marlowe with my girl, we went to a show at TD Banknorth Garden and it was walking distance. Are the bars anywhere near there?

Westin - which is walking distance from Seaport I was told. Yeah, I made my reservations after reading this thread.
