Where can I find a database of the makes, models, options, etc of cars?

A database like Autotrader, Edmunds, Ebay Motors, etc uses.

Is there a way I could develop (read: pay someone to develop) a tool to scrape the database from one of these sites?

Just what I wanted to hear How detailed will your database be? Will it include all options offered for that particular year, make and model?

Speak to Kamesh he has access to one. I was going to get it but scrapped the idea before going through. I seen the samples, lots of info, make model year, engine, size all specs, fuel blah blah blah should be what your after.

I'm interested in this too. Is there anyway to get data from past years as well? How hard would it be to keep up to date with all the new models released each year?
