Where can you suggest I spend my time learning the CPA/affiliate Industry?

As keeper mentioned, just throw a bunch of shit at the wall and see what sticks. I test the most random stuff every day, most of it doesn't work, actually like 95% doesn't work, but the stuff that does pays the billz and more.

KISS - keep it simple stupid

don't buy into the launch a million adgroups with a million keywords. thats a sure way to give up.

just 1 ad, 1 highly relevent, with traffic keyword, 1 landing page.*

*split test everything. so rotate your ad with 3 others, your offer with 3 networks, rotate 3 lps etc..

when you got that working - do another 10 keywords, start broadening out...

rinse repeat.

you'll save a lot of money and it'll be a hell of a lot easier to manage. you want to try to remove as many variables as possible when you're starting so there is less to question and more to concentrate on.

oh and of course, CHECK OUT THE COMPETITION, they will teach you everything you need to know to bank with any niche/traffic source. check out the ads, the landing pages, offers and tactics/copy being used.

one final thing i'd start with a busy offer that's banking already. it will be the same amount of work and you'll have more competition to study. can't mention the amount of time i wasted chasing empty niches hoping i'd found the next "big thing". there's reasons no one else is promoting an offer, there's no traffic or it doesn't convert. don't waste your time with losers.

good luck, its worth the work so get to it.

and this is the last time, i swear, i write this crap. noobs this has already been covered. read the bloody forum

Great advice gang. I'm extremly appreciative. Sorry for the black font on my opening post. ( no idea y that happened ) Yep...it pisses me off 2.

again thx.

PS Both Ruck's material & Nicky Cakes thoughts R brilliant!!! Oh ya, also, if you don't read the blog over there @ pepper*jam, u are missing out!

adtech isn't the place

I agree, adtechs aren't the place to learn much for newbies besides how big the industry it.
Have you thought of the affiliate summits? The classes are geared to newbies - though some are mostly a hour long commercial, you can still pick up some tidbits.
Something to consider.
