I'm releasing a new CB product, and I have a buddy who is releasing a CB product at the same time.

I've had a product or two before, but never did well, and my buddy has never had a CB product. We're trying to figure out a better way of recruiting affiliates.

I've posted in a couple of IM-related forums (which shall remain nameless), but wanted to know what you guys do to attract affiliates to a new product.

Thanks!

1) Create usernames on those other forums that make you look like a guru, like SEOExpert354, PPCMaster224, ArticlesMillionaire52, etc.
2) Post on those other boards at least 50 times for each account, answering questions with answers that you Googled 5 seconds before.
3) Post your ebook ad on those boards, saying how you've already made millions and just want to "give something back to the people".
5) Take profits and spend them on fake bling, take pictures of you and bling in front of expensive cars you find in a parking lot, start a blog, call yourself Super Affiliate Ghalt, and do the same thing as 2) but on your blog.
6) Start your own affiliate program.
7) Close your affiliate program, blaming Indian, Russian, and Peruvian scammers.
8) Repeat 1) .. 8) but with fresh usernames that haven't been dragged through the mud.
9) Get a McJob to pay the bills
10) Profit!

Hahaha!

We have all assumed he is selling an MMO book. That may not be the case :)

To the original post, i have one clickbank ebook in a fairly popular niche, non IM, AM, MMO. There are 10 or so others promoting similar books.

I launched my book, artificially boosted my gravity by setting up 3 fake accounts and driving some traffic with articles. Then approached all the other sellers and told them my product was gaining traction and they should promote it because conversions were good etc. Once you get a few affiliates on board others will follow.

This was all around 6 month ago when I first started and it is a way to make a little bit of cash but i really think unless you have one of the top ebooks on there you wont make much. Even with a 15 gravity mine makes less than $1000 per month. Much better ways to make a lot more money online.

It's not an IM book or an MMO book.

Jinks...I think you're on to something...YOU should write an eBook! That was awesome.

So...besides tricking the gullibles at DP, I was hoping there was a good way to get a product to people who are legitimately looking for something to market.

tonybogs - do you think most affiliates choose a new product based on gravity? Do people really use that as a measure of what to sell? I guess it never occurred to me that people would actually look for new products within CB itself, and that the gravity would help with that. I was focused more on other ways that affiliates find products. I'll have to see what I can do about that. :D

Both my ebook and my buddy's are completely unique on Clickbank...there's no products there currently in either of our niches.

Anywho, I'm gonna keep searching Google for "Clickbank Announcement", "find affiliates", etc., and keep trying the different stuff that turns up.

bahahahahahahaha Im fuckin still loling.

Promote on your own first before you open it up to affiliates. You need to test and tweak to get your conversion % as high as possible.

Once you can convert at >1% on cold PPC traffic list it on the open marketplace.

Register 6-8 new affiliate accounts and continue your promotion methods in step 1, except rotate your hop link to inflate your gravity.

Healthy gravity + a product that converts will attract, and more importantly KEEP affiliates on your product. Good luck.
