So when it comes to buyng/ selling domain names im a complete.... Its not rlly my point of interest to be honest.

But I just scoopedup CarKraze.com, without realizing that there is a CarKraze.ca. I plan on turning the site into a local automotive website, with hopes of expandng it in the future.

Will this help me or hurt me?

Are you in Canada? Are you marketing to a Canadian audience? If not, then there's no harm in this. In fact, it might help you - the existing carkraze visitor stream might accidentally come to your site by typing .com instead of .ca.
If you are in Canada, then you'll just have to beat the .ca out with the best in SE0, and SE1 skillz.

Nope I'm not in Canada.... USA actually.

I'm have a couple of ideas for the site, but im not 100 percent on which direction I want to take it.

I don't think their site gets many hits either.

hello,
i just went through both of your conversation and Murphy is right...
Don't get bothered about things, since you are targeting LM in USA and that site is for Canadian's. Just optimize it upto max and SE will pick you up.
