Who here likes premium cigars?

I don't think there is anything nicer than sitting back with a great cigar for an hour-and-a-half of pure heaven.

So does anyone else share my fondness for premium cigars? If so what's your favorite?

I smoked a real deal Monte Cristo a few years back. It was fuckin superb. Since then though, I haven't been able to find cubans and I'm not wise on the scene to know what a good non-cuban is.

I don't get into the super premiums much, but I am a fan of Davidoff cigars.

Particularly with a decent scotch, like Glennfiddich. But only once in a while. I'm not a snob, after all.

I have a half a box of Habana Montecristo #2 that were my grandfathers. They're probably about 40 years old, and spent most of that in their original wooden cigar box in my parents basement. I recently rescued them, they were dry as heck, but no mould or anything, and have them in a humidor, but I'm kindof afraid to try one now for fear they'll poison me (or at the very least be really awful). Any thoughts?

I used to really like Romeo y Julieta brand cigars... which, incidentally, I used to buy at Up In Smoke when I was still a UTD student and high on student loan money. I actually haven't treated myself to a good cigar in a while now but, man, nothing beats a good scotch and a decent cigar.

Waz, I seriously doubt those old Montecristo's would poison you. Unfortunately they are probably damaged beyond repair. Cigars are very sensitive creatures.

I just recently tried a Cohiba while on vacation in Mexico. Very nice...

Good lord Opus is overrated. Good cigars though.

I disagree that cigars are "very" bad for your health. The last time I checked, health insurance companies do NOT classify you as a smoker if you smoke less than five cigars a day. That has to to mean something because they charge cigarette smokers up the ass.
