Whos running ZIP'S-Email Submits?

Maybe I read this wrong...but even at 25 cents / click. To make 90% on your money at 0.56 epc, your LP would have to be around 84% ctr..... unless my math really sucks...

You must be really good at writing ads, making landing pages, or picking keywords!!!
 


I used to get fuckin PAID doing zip submits, but dealing with these whiny bitch advertisers was such a pain. They don't know dick about affiliate marketing, they're entirely controlled by their legal teams since half of their business model is simply NOT getting sued.

At one point I was pushing an email submit for a free sample of some product. The advertiser's landing page had the product name, logo and images all over it (of course without permission).

The company that makes the product finds my landing page, which was exactly the same as the advertiser's LP, and calls up the advertiser. Then the advertiser tries to stiff me on $9k in revenues because they got caught. Two weeks earlier they bumped my CPA because my traffic was converting so well. They ended up stiffing the network and the network had to pay me out of their own pocket.

Then they make up some policy that I have to clear all of my landing pages with them first. Can you believe that shit?

They start denying my landing pages because I didn't put "Participation required" in big enough or bold enough letters. Nevermind the fact that my visitors still have to see the ADVERTISER'S landing page before they can convert. They tell me I can't bid on any products or brands, put any product or brand names in my copy or use them in my ads.

So I said fuck em. I'm not going to wait around until they try to stiff me out of a dollar amount that's too high for my network to pay me out of their own pocket, and then I'm left paying off my PPC bill with no revenue.

WOW.....Sorry to hear that happend to you. It really sucks when they do that. Because I understand that you are investing your own money into their program and ended up sending them leads that converted for them but you never got paid for them... that is wrong.

If you want, do you mind telling us what offer was this? So we can avoid it and dont send them our traffic????

I don't want to mention the advertiser because, like I said, they're a room full of lawyers. I want to help protect other members, but the name this advertiser uses on one network isn't the same as the name they use on other networks. And when you're talking about low-hanging fruit like zip submits, you're pretty much taking a risk with ANY advertiser.

What I will say is that Neverblue was the network. And I say that because for a network to pay $9k out of their own pocket to an affiliate who hasn't even been with then 6 months is BIG. Jordan and the rest of the NB team are quality.

I agree, I completely agree with you. NeverBlueAds is the shit. I love this network, been running them for a short 3 months but Im so happy with them.

So basically, your advice is to avoid zip submits???

keep in mind that for the big earner, i had an LP most of that time, so the conversion rate is only on click-through from the LP, not conversion from the actual ad they clicked in the SE,,

but they are still pretty good even after factoring that all in :)

after reading some replys on this thread....whats your taught about zip offers?? lot of people is saying they are risky and not worth running them due to advertisers not paying....any issues with your campaigns so far???

No, my advice is this:

Understand the risks involved in anything that requires you to put your own money at risk. Then, understand that money doesn't exist until you're holding it. Finally, never take any risk or do any deal that you can't afford to lose on.

And that goes for a helluva lot more than zip submits.
 
Zip Submits Do Work!

For anyone who's doubting zip submits, I've posted a screen shot. This is from a period of one month last year. I spent $10k on advertising that month.

looks like copeac and you forgot to censor out the ctr which means you had 135168 clicks and 16% conversion rate.
 
Looks like da CPA Empire wit da Myspace Spamming. You say you spent 10K on advertising though so great job if it's true. Probably is, considering a year ago that was maybe half of what some dudes were doing with zip submits on that shithole of a SN.
 
Are you still able to keep these on yahoo and google now? Google slaps many zip submits and yahoo removes them all the time. Things were easier last year. Not saying it can't be done because I am sure it can but from people I hear it's much tougher than it use to be. I personally never work with zip submits.
 
I haven't tried it on that scale on yahoo or google since then. For this particular campaign, I have to wait for the right time to run it.

Yes, it's true that zips are quickly deleted by yahoo and slapped hard by google, but it's still possible.

I currently have some campaigns that have great quality score; getting > $.10 clicks. I'm sure that if I put some related zip subs banners on those pages, I'll continue to receive the traffic that I do now and won't get slapped.
 
I just wanted to share with you a website I found promoting a zip submit campaign that I used to promote using a direct link. I had great conversions, but yahoo took it down. I'll leave out the name of the site because I don't want to reveal the campaign I was promoting. Why is this person still able to run the same campaign and I wasn't? Well their site gives the impression the user is joining a "club", a club that saves you money. They have an "about us" page, a "why join us" page, Etc. The front page says "check your zip code on the next page", then it takes the user to the offer. I have seen this site for a while and it seems like they are doing just fine. I am going to design a site similar to them and see how it's goes. Maybe some of you having trouble with these offers can do the same.
