I was just sitting down and this came to mind: why do most of the major affiliate networks (A4D, NB, Copeac, CB, MaxBounty, etc. etc.) not use cookies that last in the browser for a period of time (30-60 days normally) like traditional affiliate networks such as CJ and ClickBank?
Customers definitely come back and have purchased items later as statistics show, hence why I think CB places a cookie in the browser so you can track exactly who is responsible for the initial lead/sale.
Do these newer affiliate networks not use this because it saves them a few bucks?
Just wondering why there is a difference or if there is something I am missing.
