I think that if your users are collapsing shit, it's because they don't want to fucking see it. Like when you leave your "UPCOMING BIRTHDAYS" module on your forumhome page. Better yet, add a "Delete" option so users NEVER have to see that again. Or maybe you can take a fucking hint, take off your gimmicks=cool goggles and scrape the bullshit off your page.

I've NEVER collapsed something. I'll sooner simply overlook something than go through the tacky process of "collapsing." Honestly. Think about it. If content is Collapse-Worthy, then its probably something nobody gives a fuck about.

:bowdown:Logic

I look forward to the day this overused gimmicky bullshit dies out along with other tacky shit that lolweb2.0 has brought upon us. e.g. diagonal lines and 20 pointed stars and how everything is persistently in its "beta" phase - an umbrella to avoid the fact that your website blows but it will "get better, sometime, but meanwhile here are some diagonal lines and Apple button effects and ajax scripts with little revolving progress GIFs so you know I have AJAX running on this beta page."

If no one used the collapsible items, it would've died by now. I think you're just having a bad day.

Agreed. Dude, its not so big of a deal.

If anything, get pissed off about shitty web design.

And take a look at collapsible content implementation over at Netvibes.
