Will my affiliate links work worldwide or just locally?

If i use affiliate links from clickbank and shorten them using smarturl.it will they work irrespective of where the person who clicks them is located? Also, is this the same with itunes affiliate links?

It is local or global depends on your Affiliate or the affiliate network you have choose. So before joining affiliate network get some information what are there reach.

Your links should have no problem working worldwide. A link is a link and sale is a sale in most cases like these. A link shortner should do nothing more then alter the exterior look of a link. A lot will not really depend so much on clickbank and linkshare (which runs itunes affiliate program) but the actual affiliates themselves. Have you tried running the issue by the affiliate manager for your specific product to see what their thoughts were on the subject matter? With clickbank/itunes the commissions come from actual sales and not clicks so clicks through links really don't matter to the affiliates. I am not sure why an affiliate would care if you sold their download to someone in Iceland or Mexico. It should matter very little where the sales originate from.

Another good idea is to post the shortened links and test the idea live.
