Pingoat.com kicks ass.
It has the newer blog indexing sites like octora.com on it.

I've stopped using the other services.

this is the list I use, it may need a update

alinks is an essential wordpress plugin whether you're doing aff mktg/CPA offers.
you can check it out at:
Headzoo - Home

You configure it so that specific keywords trigger an automatically embedded hyperlink to a defined site.

Eg. I could set ringtones, sprint, nextel as keywords which would install a link to a ringtone offer.

If you've got keyword rich content, you shouldn't worry about generating sales.

I actively use alinks on my blog, and you can see the keywords with the hyperlinks marked with blue arrows on them. that's alinks in action.

If you've got all your keywords setup, you can go ahead and blog and your traffic will click on the links and convert themselves.

blogging for income should be an easy process, don't make it more difficult than it has to be.

ok, some folks have been wondering how to get inspiration about content for the blog posts.

here's a clue:
check out wikipedia, google news, resource type sites like about.com.

you can either scrape content, or develop content based on what you read.

once you get into the hang of things, you can generate a week's worth of posts in about 1 hour. (that's 7 posts).

---
content blogging can pull in huge traffic if you know what you're doing.

do thematic posts if you can. if you're doing a post to promote skis through an aff prog, you'd want to have things like names of ski resorts, ski equipment manufacturers, ski techniques/jargon in your post.
that'll pull the traffic and with alinks and other plugins in place, there's no reason why you shouldnt see a decent amount of sales....

Love the link Andrew.

I'm not waiting for someone to waive a magic want, I just have other sites that I am working on. I created this site specifically to be part of the case study as I like to help others out where I can. So it's just sort of sitting there waiting for this thing to happen or not. Until then, I have plenty of other pot boiling that need attending to.

For creating content to post on your blogs, you can either manually scrape content or use a script.

This tends to build one-off spike/surge type traffic.

For longer term traffic, I go with some of my easy content creation techniques, which I believe almost everyone can adapt easily.

1) Go check out sites like forums and places where people ask questions like Yahoo Answers.

Create content which answers those questions, post that content... instant traffic.

2) Go to Google News, check out the items related to your niche. If you're doing a "weather blog", look for information on hurricanes, tornados and the like.

blog about it. voila, instant traffic again.

Ok, this is gonna sound simple, but you wouldn't believe the number of new bloggers I come across who don't insert affiliate offers into their blogs.

There is the class of "pure blogger" who leaves comments on my blog, saying stuff like 'earning money from your blog is evil"....uh huh....I guess money to feed my family is going to magically materialize....

So the lesson is to get your butt over to headzoo.com, get alinks and install it in your wordpress blog.

If you're blogging about ringtones or ipods or paris hilton on the wordpress platform, and you aren't making a killing on affiliate offers, something is seriously wrong.

So thanks for the questions in this thread, it gave me the inspiration to create some content and spill some of the other content gen techniques I currently use.

Some of you might find the info I've just published on my blog, over at:

I guess my "real" blog isn't targeted enough to make money from affiliate links. My favorite site of mine is Screen Rant - SciFi, TV, Movie News & Commentary Without The Sugar Coating and I've been writing content for it for over 3 years. I've tried all kinds of affiliate links and banners but the ONLY thing that's brought in any cash at all as been Google Adsense.

It's frustrating, really. I thought that movie posters, Netflix, movie collectibles and the like would do well, but... nothing.

Recently I've added CPM, but that isn't doing much either since I only get about 2,000 pageviews a day.

This is an AWESOME forum BTW, it's just going to take me freaking WEEKS to get through past posts. I want to dabble in arbitrage and so far I've found a lot of great high level info, but I need to find the real "nuts and bolts" posts.

So has this thing started? He made a post about aff stats from the case study... what case study?

I'm confused.

I have the net back ... if this is still going ahead, and hasn't started.... I'd like to follow it up.

It's a pitty that many things are said, but at the end nothing really happen! That's all what I want to say about it... :rasta:

im in

can i still get in seeing that im above the announcement in this post? :)

please?

Alright, we are closed. All posts under here will not be accepted, sorry, but you had more than enough time to announce it.

I've actually kept up with my blog. I've gone a few days without updating, but nevertheless I haven't forgotten about it. Its only 2 months old, yet its getting an average of 20 uniques per day, mostly from the search engines. Without doing any promotion, is that good? Also, I did have adsense in there, however I only made about $1.40 off of 460 ad unit impressions, so I took it off today. I had the adsense placed inside of the content for the most part. Something must be up...

Anyways, am I doing good so far other than the low amount of updates/content? The URL is CarBloggin!

Sure, that would be cool. I've already added yours, let me know if you want anything changed. I'd like my link to read:

Name: CarBloggin!
Address: CarBloggin!
Description: Latest Information in the Automotive World - Racing, Sports Cars, Etc
