I am fairly new to this Affiliate Marketing Deal, and the website I am actually asking about is not for profit.. I probably just lost a lot of people there.
Anyways I set up my Blog using Wordpress and for the last 2 weeks have been plugging away and have got 500 unique views already this month - Which is good for me, i know you guys all get 100 times that a day.
Anyways, Just today, I started getting Pingback comments. I don't actually really get what these are, but these are obviously spam, Example:
A new pingback on the post #118 "I Love Moustache!" is waiting for your approval
I Love Moustache! | Mo Mo Fo Sho!

Now, I just ignore the ping back and delete it, but what I am confused about is they are linking to my website and I am guessing they are doing it automatically and hoping people approve the comments so they get a link back to their site as well.
MY questions are:
Is this spam?
Does having a link from one of these websites help me or hurt me?
Should I be doing something to do with PingBacks on other people's blogs to get more traffic? I don't really understand what they really are.
I see TrackBacks right underneath my post text box here at WF, is that the same as a pingback?

Oh and since this is my first ask for help on WF I think its Mandatory to have porn models in my post?
