Just a few notes I need to share so we can all be on the same page. First, I've brought on two American English speakers to handle rewriting the content. This will vastly increase my bandwidth for handling orders. Which, I have to admit, the demand for this service has kept me buried since I opened the thread. I haven't been able to log into WF once in two weeks without being notified of at least one new PM waiting for me in my inbox.
Current customers: When I first launched, I way, way underestimated turnaround time. Now that I have additional help, please look for an email from me that will arrive by Tuesday informing you of the date when work will begin on your order (if it hasn't already) and the approximate turnaround time. I will also be including a link to a Project Pier installation going up on VinnyLingo.com in the next 24 hours. This will help you keep better track of how your order is progressing. (Thank dchuk for that helpful addition.)
On a personal note, you may have noticed the other thread I promote in my sig. Over there, I describe my plans for a summer-long, cross-country camping trip. That trip was due to start April 30th. I've had several people request I blog about the trip, so I'm going to test how I feel about sharing such details here first. So here's a quick rundown of what's happened in May.
We got into a wreck our first day out. Everyone's ok. I'm a little worse for wear. My wife escaped with relatively little injury, considering. And our kids walked away without a scratch. The car wasn't so lucky. So the last month has been packed with multiple doctors appointments along with all the joy of dealing with insurance companies. I've shared the specifics with some of you privately.
Everything's wrapped up now. We've got a new (to us) ride, and we're setting out to begin our journey once again. So this morning, we're packing up the car and heading out. The first week is going to be a little hectic. We are driving 2000 miles over the next six days to make it to my wife's home town in time for her sister's birthday.
I'm spreading the driving out so I will have a few hours to work each day after we get to our stop. Between that and my two new rewriters, there will be no interruption in workflow.
Because of the travel, and the number of open orders, I'm booked through the end of the week. Any new orders will be put in the queue to be started no sooner than Monday June 7th.
