With the site I'm designing, I'm planning on having a section for "promotions" and under promotions I'll be offering different merchandise pertaining to my site topic through affiliate links.
The question is, what about the homepage? Would it be worth my time to place affilate logos/links on the homepage as well? For example, have a small section in the sidebar for "sponsors" where I'll have different logos from merchants with my affiliate link so that I could use other affiliate offers as well besides simply ones that deal with the topic of my site which will be under "promotions." Does that make sense? Is it even possible to do, just put a generic logo of the merchant with an affilate link so when clicked you'll be taken to their website under your affiliate ID so anything purchased you get commission. I'm not even sure if that's possible, or if I need to actualy have a specific product image?
