Worthwhile Service? Video Testimonials (Will do review copies)

Hey Everyone,

Thinking of offering a service that allows customers to display video testimonials. We do the recording, editing, and distribution (video sites, host the video file for you to embed,etc.). Few questions:

  • Would you pay for it?
  • How much would you pay/what's a fair price per video?
  • Why would it be valuable?

In the phase where I can build the service or I can just abandon it. I know this would appeal to a pretty broad market (affiliate marketers, ecommerce sites, web services,etc.). If you have some good insight, feel free to pm me. Yes, I will give you a review copy for helping out. If I do go forward with it, I WILL do review copies to users with decent rep here + site that could benefit. Many thanks again guys.
 


I'll take the review copy ;)

I'm gonna (hopefully) launch a site next week, so I'll be able to split test and let you know what impact the video testimonial had. I'm talking about a long-term project, not just a blog or something like that.
 
I have been playing with video for a while. Can I take the second review copy on the basis of a full review - I imagine you will do big business here if you can nail this.

Going to go through with the service BTW. Finishing up the site and some logistics this week. Ready to rock and roll later this week or early next week. Two review copies are booked. Going to hold it at that for the short moment, just to get everything done right. I'll do introductory pricing as well/ deals for WF members. With that said, pricing is still being decided. Feel free to shoot suggestions in the thread. If using your own customers it's less. If you need someone to stand in (male,female,etc.) it will be more.
