Interesting, but not suprising. People prey on other people, and thus we all built up defenses against something that seems too good to be true. It often is and there are often consequences for being duped. So the potential gain of a few dollars is offset by the potential downside.

If it were true, that people had already built up a defense system on that, then the MLM and ebook get rich quick markets wouldn't be booming like they have been for almost 20 years now.

Neuroeconomics is definitely a very interesting field. Maybe the current research on BUYING PSYCHOLOGY can be translated to website marketing tactics that would result in even better conversions for webmasters
