WP Autoblog question

Hi,
does anyone know if it's possible to modify the WP Autoblog plugin (by Elliott Back) so that it stops updating automatically when people visit your site?

I currently run the plugin on a few blogs and it works great except it looks to update all my feeds everytime someone visits, which is causing slow page load times and also eating up my server. If possible I'd like to disable the auto update and just create a cron job which updates all the feeds at a regular interval.

Anyone know how to do this, or if it's possible?

It's possible. And likely easy if you can code at all.

You can modify it so that it won't automatically be updated every time a user visits it and execute the PHP file that grabs the feeds via a cron job periodically. Alternatively you can use either WP o Matic or FeedWordPress who do that out of the box.

You can update daily, hourly or whenever.
